Teabella had initially thought that Xavier loved

oda, to a hit to Moore Group’s bottom line wouldn’t have mattered to him But since Linda wasn’t the one in his heart. Moore Group was clearly his top priority
Navier didn’t love anyone. His kindness and his gruelty both became weapons he used against other people.
Xavier looked at Isabella and fell silent for a long stretch. Isabella took his quietness as agreement.
Everything was clear now. Her heart felt hollow, but in a way, she also felt relieved.
“I can agree not to get a divorce. But I have one condition.”
Isabella spoke up again, suddenly.
“Go ahead…”
A flicker of something passed through Xavier’s eyes. He stood up and moved closer to Isabella.
Even though her tone stayed cold, the fact that she was willing to compromise made something in him soften instantly.
Isabella stepped away from Xavier’s approach. “We’ll draw up an agreement. I’ll set the terms. If you can stick to them, we won’t divorce. If you break even one condition, we divorce immediately.”
“Fine.”
Xavier agreed before Isabella had even finished speaking.
Once they had come to an understanding, Isabella went back to the bedroom and placed a contract she had prepared earlier in front of him.
She meant to let Xavier read it over first, but instead, he picked up the contract, flipped straight to the last page, and signed his name.
His signature was bold and sweeping, which made Isabella’s neat, precise handwriting beside
it look even more delicate.
“Aren’t you going to read it?”
“I said I’d agree to whatever conditions you set.”

Xavier answered calmly, his tone generous but also indifferent enough to how he didn’t really care
Isabella forced a faint, bitter smile. He didn’t ever want to know what she was asking him to
do
“My freedom can’t be restricted. Even if I work Moore Group, I won’t be your assistant. You have to agree to any reasonable request I make. And I won’t put up with being mistreated by anyone around you.”
Isabella had listed many clauses, but she only highlighted the four main ones for Xavier.
If she had known he wouldn’t even glance at the terms, she should have been harsher and changed “reasonable request” to “unreasonable demand“.
Xavier accepted the contract without showing any reaction. “Fine.”
Isabella let go of the contract, feeling unsettled. Well, he had signed it already. She should be happy about that.
After finishing the meal, Isabella turned and headed back to her room. When she noticed Xavier following her, she turned and said, “First clause: my freedom can’t be restricted. Without my permission, don’t come into my room again.”
Xavier stopped right where he was.
Once inside her room, Isabella quickly locked the door.
She then went online and contacted Barry.
That afternoon, she had gone back and forth with Sander online through Barry.
Although Isabella never appeared in public, she had effectively become the decision–maker for the Whitman family.
She held veto power over any decision the Whitman family made.
Besides, this time Sander had reached out to her because of Moore Group.
In recent years, Moore Group had expanded some of its business areas by partnering with the Whitman family. But now that the Whitman family had pulled out of Moore Group, they needed to compete and get ahead of Moore Group quickly–otherwise, given how meticulous and vindictive Xavier was, the Whitman family would eventually end up in his sights again.
Sander’s proposed strategy was to spread their efforts across Moore Group’s other industries, distracting them so they couldn’t focus on competing with the Whitman family. That would

allow the Whitman Tomily to take over Moore Group resources in the real estate sector within a few months.
Kander’s plan was workable, hun Isabella knew Xavier well. Even if a distraction like that worked at first, he would catch on quickly.
Once he did, Navier’s methods went beyond what most people could imagine–the Whitman Family might not be able to withstand his retaliation.
11 Navier decided to come after the Whitman family without holding back, the result could be mutual destruction, or even the Whitman family going under alone.
After all, Isabella had invested in the Whitman family. She couldn’t just stand by and watch Navier take revenge on them.
On top of that, Moore Group was now overwhelmingly dominant, and Xavier held all the power–even extending that control over her…
If the Whitman family could truly rise and compete with Moore Group, wouldn’t that mean she had beaten Xavier?
After thinking it over, Isabella decided to pretend to make peace with Xavier first.
Because only by using Moore Group as leverage could she truly sit at the negotiating table with Xavier.
Has all the industry data on Moore Group been compiled?
Isabella sent the message to Barry.
