Chapter 1049 The Accident
“What are you talking about?” Sebastian stood up instantly. “What happened to my Grandpa?”
Jared sounded frantic. “We don’t know. The hospital called and said he was in a car wreck. They told us to get there now. We’re already on our way.”
“Fine. I’m going there now” Sebastian said coldly. He hung up and headed straight for the door.
Foster grabbed Sebastian’s coat and hurried to keep up.
The car flew through the city blowing past several red lights before finally screeching to a halt at Kingston Hospital. The second it stopped Sebastian shoved the door open and ran inside.
Outside the OR Jared was pacing back and forth. Ruby looked just as wrecked her eyes fixed on the doors. Foster and Ariana were there too waiting in a tense silence.
The sound of fast footsteps echoed down the hall.
Jared looked up visibly relieved. “Sebastian you’re finally here.”
“How is he?” Sebastian’s voice was like ice.
Jared shook his head. “No idea. He was already in surgery when we got here. The doctors said it’s serious but that’s all we know.”
“My Grandpa’s drivers are professionals” Sebastian snapped. “How the hell does he end up in a wreck?”
“I don’t know” Jared said looking completely lost. “The driver is dead, Your dad is still in there and the people in the other car didn’t make it either. There’s no surveillance on that stretch of road so we’re totally in the dark. We won’t know anything until he wakes up.”
Sebastian’s jaw tightened. The whole thing felt way too convenient.
The OR doors swung open and a doctor in a lab coat stepped out.
Jared rushed him. “How is he? How’s my dad?”
“It’s bad” the doctor said quickly. “We can’t stop the bleeding and the blood bank is almost empty. I have to get more from other hospitals right now. Please just try to stay patient.” He didn’t wait for a response before rushing past them.
Jared looked like he was about to pass out. Ruby caught him and helped him over to a chair.
Sebastian stared at the OR doors taking a long steadying breath.
Foster hesitated then spoke up. “Maybe we should call Lilian. With her medical background she might be able to help Mr. Greg.”
Jared stood up immediately. “Yes! Lilian. She’ll know what to do.”
Sebastian stayed silent for a second before pulling out his phone.
Over at Kingston University Lilian was in the middle of a lecture. The room was quiet everyone focused on the professor

Suddenly a phone started ringing breaking everyone’s concentration. The professor stopped and looked around looking annoyed.
“Whose phone is that? I thought I told you all to turn them off. If you can’t follow a simple instruction how do you expect to succeed out there? Just because you got into university doesn’t mean…”
Liian stood up before he could finish. “Sorry. That’s me. My apologies for the interruption.” She didn’t wait for a reply before heading for the exit.
The professor watched her go his anger vanishing instantly. Considering she was already the chairwoman of a massive corporation she’d clearly already succeeded. She just sucked it up and moved on.
