Chapter 216: Sebastian in Peril
Lillian’s patience had completely worn thin. “Unno, stop wasting time with these games and just tell me—where exactly did your boss disappear to?” Her voice was sharp, edged with frustration.
For a brief flicker, surprise flashed across Unno’s face. It was so fleeting that only Lillian noticed it. “I honestly have no clue where the master is. How could someone like me—a mere subordinate—possibly know where he’s gone?” he replied, trying to keep his tone steady.
Lillian’s features tightened, her expression turning icy. Slowly, she pulled out a slender silver needle and pressed it firmly against his throat. Her eyes gleamed with a deadly seriousness. “Still refusing to talk? It seems you don’t realize what I’m capable of. One prick of this, and you’ll be begging for death. So, will you speak now, or do I have to make you?” Moments ago, she had doubted, but now she was absolutely convinced that Unno knew exactly where Sebastian was hiding.
Unno met the unwavering determination blazing in her eyes and understood this girl was far more dangerous than she appeared. If he stayed silent, she would find a way to make him talk. But thinking about his master’s predicament, maybe—just maybe—she could actually help. He exhaled sharply and confessed, “The master is in serious trouble. On his way back from Murica, the plane he was on was sabotaged—it crashed. He’s been missing for three days now. Foster has sent every available man to search for him.”
Those words hit Lillian like a thunderclap. Sebastian was truly in danger. No wonder she had been restless and uneasy these past few days.
Her heart dropped heavily, sinking like a stone in her chest. Her voice trembled slightly as she demanded, “Get Foster on the line immediately. I need the latest update.” She had to know more—right now.
Unno scrambled for his phone and quickly dialed. The line connected almost instantly, and a man’s voice came through, tense and questioning. “Unno, what’s going on? Why are you calling now?”
Without hesitation, Lillian snatched the phone from his hand. “Foster, I’m aware of everything. Now, you’re going to tell me exactly what’s happening with your boss.”
There was a pause on the other end before Foster spoke, his voice low and cautious. “We’re still searching. But since the plane went down in a dense tropical rainforest, it’s been incredibly difficult. We’ve deployed every resource available.”
