Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 50

After finishing her morning cultivation routine within the serene confines of her inner space, Lilian stepped out feeling invigorated and refreshed. The clock had already ticked past eight, the sunlight filtering softly through the trees outside. She quickly tidied her appearance, gently cradling Sunny, the pristine white fox, close to her chest before heading toward the exit.

At the entrance of the residential complex, a sleek black car waited patiently. Beside it stood a man in his fifties, his demeanor polished and dignified—a classic butler figure. The moment he spotted Lilian, his eyes widened in surprise; she was even more captivating in person than the photographs had suggested.

He hurried over with a respectful nod. “Good morning, Ms. Lilian. I’m the one who contacted you yesterday. My master has sent me to escort you personally.”

Recognizing the voice immediately as Mr. Landon from the previous day’s call, Lilian gave a subtle nod. “Good morning. Let’s get going.”

Landon took in the sight of the young girl, who carried only a small bag and the immaculate white fox nestled in her arms. “Ms. Lilian, is there anything else you’d like to bring along for the journey?”

“No, thank you,” she replied calmly, her voice steady and assured. “I have everything I need with me.”

Respecting her confidence, Landon didn’t press further. He swiftly opened the car door and helped her inside. The urgency of the situation left no room for delay.

As the car merged onto the road, three additional vehicles discreetly joined the convoy. Landon glanced over and explained, “Please don’t take offense, Ms. Lilian. This is purely for your protection.”

Lilian’s gaze drifted out the window, a faint crease forming between her brows. “So, no peaceful day today after all,” she murmured softly, her fingers absently stroking Sunny’s soft fur as if seeking comfort.

Though her voice was calm, Landon felt a growing unease. Here was a girl who appeared no older than fifteen, yet her poise and presence seemed far beyond her years—deep, composed, and utterly inscrutable.

Lilian turned her attention back to the ever-changing scenery outside the glass. Since breaking through to the eighth level, her spiritual senses had expanded dramatically. Her awareness now stretched for miles, an ability that still left her in awe.

Suddenly, as the car entered a quieter stretch of road, several vehicles behind them accelerated rapidly, closing the distance with alarming speed. Landon’s expression darkened as he quickly made a call. “We’ve got company. Initiate Plan B. Draw them off immediately.”
