**Chapter 510: The CR Exchange Conference**
“Absolutely,” Paul stated with an air of certainty. “Your foundation in modern medicine may still be a work in progress, but your proficiency in traditional medicine is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s precisely why both of them have put your name forward.”
He leaned back slightly, his gaze steady, as he continued, “And there’s another crucial aspect to consider. At every conference, the student representatives engage in a competition at the conclusion. This isn’t merely about showcasing our institution; it’s about standing as a representative for all of Dracovia.”
Lillian’s brow knitted together in a frown, a sense of unease washing over her. It felt as though she was being thrust into the spotlight against her will, a performer on a stage she had no desire to grace. With a resigned sigh, she replied, “Mr. Paul, it seems that each time I enter your office, it’s never to receive good news.”
Paul, however, merely chuckled, pointing a finger at her playfully. “Oh, come now! This is a wonderful opportunity! You’ll be bringing prestige to our nation. Besides, I can’t wait to see you wipe the floor with those arrogant brats in the competition. It’s high time Radovia’s old guard tasted defeat. You have no idea how insufferably they’ve looked down on our medical skills in previous years. That’s why I have complete faith in you.”
“Mr. Paul, you certainly have a high opinion of me,” Lillian said, a teasing smile creeping onto her lips, though it lacked her usual enthusiasm.
“Of course I do!” Paul replied, his laughter filling the room. “Just make sure you prepare thoroughly. I’ll keep you updated as the date approaches.”
Stepping out of the principal’s office, Lillian made her way back to the dormitory. Just as she was about to cross the threshold, she caught a snippet of a conversation that made her pause.
“Laney, tell me the truth. Who are you really dating—Mr. Whitmore?” Elsie’s voice rang out, a mix of curiosity and accusation.
“Y-You—why would you even ask me that?” Laney’s voice cracked slightly, betraying her discomfort.
