Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 53

Lilian’s voice carried a casual, almost languid tone as she spoke. “What do you think? Since I’ve already waded into this mess, of course I’m going to wait for Mr. Gordon to wake up and explain everything.”

As she said this, her hand slipped inside her bracelet, retrieving a set of slender silver needles. A cold, sharp blue light flickered from their tips, casting an eerie glow. With practiced ease, she began inserting them carefully—each needle aimed precisely at Gordon’s heart and lungs.

Landon stood nearby, his eyes fixed anxiously on Gordon’s face, watching for any sign of change.

“Go get a basin and some clean towels,” Lilian said calmly but firmly. “You’ll need them to clean your master up in a moment.”

Landon didn’t hesitate, quickly rushing off to fetch the items. By the time he returned, the transformation had already begun.

Gordon’s face flushed an alarming shade of red, his features contorted in pain. Then, without warning, he lurched forward and vomited a thick stream of pitch-black blood.

Landon hurried to wipe him down, but Gordon’s retching continued relentlessly, again and again. Slowly, the color of the blood shifted from black to a bright, vivid red. Only then did his breathing begin to steady, and his eyelids fluttered open, revealing his weary gaze.

Landon immediately leaned closer. “Sir, how are you feeling?”

Gordon glanced briefly at Landon before turning his gaze to Lilian. His voice was weak, but he nodded slightly. “Thank you. I owe you for this.”

Lilian’s tone remained light and unbothered. “No need to thank me. This was a straightforward transaction. But as for the parts that aren’t transactional… I expect a proper explanation. I don’t forget when I’m slighted.”

Gordon didn’t need to ask what she meant. His expression hardened, growing cold. “You have my word. I’ll give you a satisfactory answer. Frankly, it’s about time the Goodman family underwent a thorough cleansing.”

Then he shifted his attention to Landon. “Bring Sean to me.”

“Yes, sir,” Landon replied without hesitation, hurrying out the door.

Gordon, moving slowly but deliberately, reached into the bedside drawer and pulled out a check. He handed it to Lilian.
