She never expected to run into Elsie and her boyfriend while out to dinner. This was quite a surprise, as Elsie was always evasive whenever Isabelle asked her to bring her boyfriend along, which had made everyone very curious.

The sudden sound interrupted the two who were laughing, and they instantly looked over.

It was only then that Lilian clearly saw the man’s face: it was Cameron.

When the pair saw Lilian, they instantly covered their faces, turned around, and intended to leave.

Lilian called out sharply, “Both of you, stop right there!”

The two immediately halted, turned around, and offered a fawning smile. “Lilian, what a coincidence.”

“Yes, it’s quite a coincidence–so much so that I find it hard to believe,” Lilian said, looking at them with a teasing look.

Just then, Sebastian walked over, observing the scene. “What’s going on here?”

Cameron raised his hand, offering a placating smile. “Hello.”

Lilian looked at Elsie, her voice serious. “Let’s go. We’ll talk inside.” She then walked straight into the

restaurant.

Elsie glanced at Cameron and hurried to follow.

Sebastian watched the two retreating figures, then said to Cameron, “You certainly cast a wide net.”

Cameron said awkwardly, “When fate strikes, you can’t stop it. I know Elsie is Lilian’s good friend, and I struggled with it, but you know how it is. When you like someone, hormones conquer reason, so you can’t blame me.”

Sebastian sneered. “Your hormones must be overdeveloped. They’ve squeezed out your brains, leaving nothing but crumbs.”

“What am I supposed to do? I genuinely like Elsie,” Cameron argued.

Sebastian let out a cold huff. “You say the exact same thing to every girlfriend you have.” He then patted Cameron’s shoulder. “Fend for yourself.” With that, he walked toward the restaurant.

Inside a private room,

Lilian looked at Elsie, a lazy smile on her lips. “Well, look at you! I can’t believe you two are together. That’s a real surprise. No wonder you always changed the subject when Isabelle asked you to bring your boyfriend out–it turns out you were seeing Cameron all along.” The fact that these two were dating was completely unexpected, but thinking of Cameron’s history of romantic affairs made her frown slightly.

Elsie scratched her head, looking embarrassed. “Lilian, please don’t be mad. I didn’t mean to keep it a secret; I just hadn’t figured out how to tell you.”
