Chapter 832 George’s Arrest
Arlo looked at his son’s feral expression, and a chill ran down his spine.
At that moment, the study door swung open. The butler hurried in, his face pale with distress. “Sir, the police are here.” Before he could finish, two uniformed officers stepped into the room.
“Pardon the intrusion, Arlo,” the lead officer said. “Mr. George Mildew stands accused of attempted murder and the unlawful imprisonment of several scientific researchers. The evidence has been filed, and he must come with us.” He produced the arrest warrant for them
to see.
“Attempted murder?” Arlo gasped, his voice trembling.
“That is correct,” the officer replied. “Mr. George used a firearm against the medical expert from Dracovia, Mr. Leonard. Dracovia has already officially contacted our department, demanding immediate action. We are required to provide a definitive resolution within three days.”
Arlo turned to George, his eyes wide with fury. “Have you lost your someone? Is there no limit to your depravity?”
mind? Shooting
George’s face twisted with frustration. “Father, I was just enraged in the heat of the moment! It was an impulse; I didn’t set out to kill him.”
The officer cut him off. “Whether it was premeditated or impulsive, the act was committed. You must face the legal consequences. We cannot answer to the public or to Dracovia without a formal arrest.” He gestured to his subordinates. “Take him.”
Panic finally set in. George looked at Arlo, his voice rising. “No! Father, don’t let them take me! You have to help me!”
Arlo looked at the lead officer, his voice pleading “Is there any way to delay this for a couple of days?”
“My apologies,” the officer said firmly. “Due to the gravity of the charges and the international implications involving Dracovia, he must be taken into custody today.” He stepped forward and snapped the handcuffs onto George’s wrists.
Arlo could do nothing but watch as his son was led away. As they stepped outside the Mildew ancestral home, a swarm of reporters descended upon them, cameras flashing incessantly. Under the harsh glare of the spotlights, George was shoved into a police vehicle and driven
off.
Within minutes, headlines regarding George’s shooting and the secret imprisonment of the

scientists dominated every major media outlet. For their own protection, the specific names of Lillian and Leonard were withheld from the public reports.
The shock and stress finally took their toll; Arlo suffered a sudden collapse and was rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, at the Stint ancestral home.
Callen sat in his study, looking down at the newspaper on his desk. A triumphant smile spread across his face. “The Mildew family is finally finished.”
“Indeed,” the butler said with a smile. “A goal you’ve held for so many years has finally been realized.”
“It wasn’t easy,” Callen sighed. “The Stints and the Mildews have been at each other’s throats for decades with no clear winner. Seeing how arrogant George had become recently, I thought I’d never see their downfall in my lifetime. Who would have guessed they would dig their own graves by provoking that monster? Sebastian tore them apart from the inside out. With George behind bars, the rest of the family will crumble like a house of cards.”
“It was your wisdom that carried the day, sir,” the butler flattered him. “Working in tandem with that man was the masterstroke that brought them down.”
Callen let out a heavy breath. “That man is not to be trifled with. I need to speak with Richard. If Renee refuses to let go of her vendetta, she must be struck from the Stint family register. We cannot afford to have her dragging us down with her.”
“How should we handle things on that side? After all, he and Renee have been married for many years, and there is still Miss Jane to consider,” the butler noted hesitantly.
