Cary glared at Lilian with burning rage. “Lilian, do not push your luck. If you continue with this insolence, I don’t care if you are the Philips heir, I will have you thrown out.”

“Is that so?” Lilian countered with a cold laugh. “I’d love to see how you plan to manage that. In what capacity would you even try? “Lady of the Austin family?” Lilian laughed derisively. “You certainly have quite the imagination, Cary. Where do you get the confidence to think your granddaughter could ever hold that title?
