Chapter 323 The Leader Of Blood Fang

Megan barked furiously, her sharp voice echoing off the concrete walls. “Why isn’t Elliot done? He has been in there for almost an hour!”
The guard swallowed hard, shifting his weight uncomfortably under her glare. “Ms. Foster, I can’t let you interrupt-”
Megan smiled coldly, cutting him off. “I have news that the Demoness didn’t go back to Westridge. She ma have stayed in Dillon. I need to update the situation before they realize she didn’t actually leave. Don’t blame me, Nelson, if you get in trouble for this.”
The soldier stuttered, his resolve crumbling under the threat. “Ok… you, you can go in, but don’t tell anyone it was me who let you in, ok?”
Megan gave a dismissive nod. As soon as the guard turned a blind eye and walked off down an intersecting corridor, she sauntered down the long hallway. Inside her spatial paradise, Joanna tracked her every step, teleporting the space silently behind her to maintain their flawless, invisible tail.
Megan approached the heavy double doors at the end of the hallway, her confident stride slowing just a fraction.
Inside the storage space, the team watched the visual rift with bated breath. “She may be leading us straight to the head boss if Elliot is giving an update right now,” Julian whispered, his eyes locked on the door.
As Megan drew closer, a muffled, unmistakable sound began to echo through the wood. High-pitched gasps and rhythmically creaking furniture cut through the quiet hallway.
Megan froze. Her perfectly manicured hands began to shake violently, and her face drained of color. It was as if what she was hearing was entirely too horrific and hard to believe.
RJ let out a low murmur, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Oh, this is good. It sounds like Elliot is busy giving a very detailed report.”
Joanna frowned, her eyes narrowing as a breathless, feminine moan echoed through the door. “I had no idea the leader of Bloodfang was a woman.”
Before anyone else could comment, Megan’s shock curdled into pure, unadulterated fury. Screaming in a jealous rage, she slammed her hands against the handles and burst through the doors.
The scene inside was pure chaos. Straddling a grand mahogany desk in the center of the office was Alice, the leader of Bloodfang, locked in a compromising, tangled position with Elliot. Elliot’s shirt was completely unbuttoned, his hands gripping Alice’s waist, both of them frozen like deer in headlights as the door bounced off the wall.
“What the hell is the meaning of this?!” Megan shrieked, her voice cracking with rage.
Alice’s shocked expression instantly hardened into venom. “Guards!” she screamed, scrambling off the desk and frantically grabbing a discarded silk robe from the floor to cover herself. “Guards, get in here!”
Elliot’s face flushed a deep, angry crimson as he stumbled backward, hastily pulling up his zipper and frantically buttoning his pants. “Megan, get out! What do you think you’re doing?!”

eft my husband for you!” Megan screamed, her voice hitting a manic, ear-piercing register. She thrust her hands forward, channeling her earth power. The concrete flooring beneath the grand desk cracked open, and jagged shards of broken stone shot upward, violently hurling themselves at Elliot.
Alice shrieked, frantically scrambling backward out of the way as stone chips tore through the air. She pulled her silk robe tightly around herself, dodging the debris.
“Meg, don’t be mad! This was a one-time thing!” Elliot yelled, raising his arms to shield his face as the stones pelted his chest and shoulders. He stumbled back against the wall, desperately trying to pacify her while still fumbling to finish buttoning his pants.
Inside the safety of the storage space, not a sound was made. The entire team stared at the visual rift with shock and delight at the drama unfolding, but it was Joanna who froze completely, her jaw dropping in absolute disbelief.
Her step sister Alice is the leader of Bloodfang?
Joanna’s mind reeled as the pieces violently clicked together. Wait! That is why the name Bloodfang sounded so familiar!
Memories from before the apocalypse flooded back. Alice had always been completely obsessed with those cheesy, trashy werewolf romance novels. She used to spend hours raving about them, and whenever she wanted to mock Joanna, she would use the exact same analogy. Alice used to sneer and say that if their lives were a werewolf novel, Joanna would be the useless, pathetic loser omega, while Alice was destined to be the powerful Luna of the Bloodfang pack.
Joanna stared at the screaming woman on the other side of the rift, a mix of horror and sheer second-hand embarrassment washing over her.
I can’t believe she actually named a large post-apocalyptic military army after a stupid, trashy romance novel, Joanna thought, rubbing her temples.
The heavy wooden doors burst open, and a squad of armed guards rushed into the room, physically throwing themselves between the screaming women to break up the fight.
Alice smoothed down her silk robe, her chest heaving as she snarled at the soldiers holding a thrashing Megan. “Throw her in the basement for testing! That should teach her a lesson about who she’s dealing with.”
The guards dragged a weeping, broken-hearted Megan out of the office. Elliot quickly followed the guards out, trailing closely behind her like a guilty dog. “Don’t worry, Meg,” he muttered frantically under his breath. “I’ll figure out a way to get you out.”
Inside the spatial paradise, Joanna didn’t even care about Elliot anymore. Her eyes were completely fixated on Alice. Her mind spun in circles, trying to comprehend the sheer absurdity of the situation. How on earth did her dramatic, romance-novel-obsessed step-sister manage to become the ruthless leader of such a massive, post-apocalyptic faction?
Just then, the heavy office door slammed shut again. Jax walked in, scowling deeply. The jagged, nasty scar slicing across his face made him look absolutely terrifying under the harsh fluorescent lights. He had four heavily armed soldiers flanking him, instantly shifting the power dynamic in the room.
