Chapter 324 Payback Is Awesome

The air in the lavish office was thick with tension. Alice snarled at Jax, her face contorting with rage as she took a menacing step toward him.
“I did everything you told me to do!” she shrieked, gesturing wildly around the room. The silk robe slipped slightly from her shoulder, but she didn’t care. “Cozy up to that disgusting old pig Neil. Played the doting little pet while he ran the base. I endured his touch for months!”
She paced like a caged animal, her robe dragging against the hardwood. “This whole long winter, I did everything you told me to do while you and Elliot got to play hero! I slowly fed Neil that slow-acting venom, isolated him from his captains, and learned every single security code to this base We finally killed him, and I produced the video confession and safe combinations I blackmailed him into giving me. I am in charge of Bloodfang now. Why shouldn’t I be able to have some fun?!”
Jax didn’t move an inch. He slowly crossed his arms, his cold gaze fixed on her.
Inside the spatial paradise, Joanna felt a cold realization wash over her. Jax identified her and her storage space a long time ago.
Jax cut Alice off, his voice dropping into a dangerous, low hiss. “You are only the leader if you can get access to your step sister’s storage space! Play the family card and we are set.”
Inside the storage space, Briggs growled, a small, aggressive flame instantly igniting on his fist.
“Classic Jax,” he muttered, his eyes burning with fury. “That snake knew you had a storage space and wanted your resources. He used Alice to poison Neil and seize Bloodfang just to build a trap. He is planning on using family loyalty to get access to your space.”
Joanna shook her head, a cold, mocking smile touching her lips. “There is no way that Alice would ever allow me to stay at this base. She fought too hard to steal Neil’s throne.”
Right on cue, Alice started whining, her voice turning into a high-pitched, entitled tantrum. “That stupid cow Joanna doesn’t need to be a part of the base! I poisoned Neil, I won over his men. Once she gives us all her resources, we don’t need her!”
Alice spat, rubbing her neck as she glared at Jax. “Have you heard back from Sam yet? We don’t know if my stepsister is the one they call Demoness.”
Jax didn’t answer right away. Instead, he took a slow, deliberate step forward, completely bypassing her question. Before Alice could react, his hand shot out like a striking viper and gripped her throat, slamming her back against the edge of the mahogany desk.
The four guards in the room-men who had once served Neil but now stood silently under Jax’s terrifying aura-didn’t move a muscle. They kept their eyes locked forward.
“There is no way I am letting you mess this up,” Jax muttered, his voice dangerously low as his fingers tightened. “You might have tricked Neil and stolen Bloodfang, but without your sister’s storage space, what value do you think you actually have? Demoness or not she has a power we can harness for ourselves.”
Alice’s eyes went wide with genuine fear, her fingers clawing weakly at his iron grip as she struggled to breathe.

Inside the spatial paradise, Glacier leaned forward, his expression hardening. “They’re still waiting on news from Sam. They have no idea I’m already with you, or that Sam is dead.”
Juan let out a cold chuckle. “And they definitely don’t realize the stupid cow is standing right behind them, watching the whole train wreck.”
Joanna let out a short, mocking laugh from inside her storage space, the sound entirely masked from the world outside.
Realizing something was off, or perhaps just done with the tantrum, Jax suddenly released his grip and dropped Alice onto the ground. Alice collapsed into a heap, gasping desperately for air and rubbing her bruised throat.
“Clean up the mess, and I will handle the fallout,” Jax ordered coldly, looking down at her with absolute disgust. “We need our ‘leader’ to always maintain integrity and authority, not sleep around like a cheap whore.”
As Joanna watched her step-sister struggle on the floor, a vivid flash from her past dream forced its way into her mind. She remembered the haunting vision of Alice standing over her, a cold blade in hand, deliberately slicing the tendons in Joanna’s legs to stop her from running. The raw, lingering anger from that memory burned through her veins.
Jax turned on his heel and left the office, his four men marching out tightly behind him and leaving Alice alone on the ground, coughing violently.
The moment the heavy double doors clicked shut, Joanna’s expression went completely cold. With a swift wave of her hand, a black ski mask materialized in her palm. She threw it on, completely covering her face except for her eyes.
Before her team could even utter a word of warning, Joanna stepped through the spatial rift. In a fraction of a second, she teleported directly behind Alice and struck her hard across the back of the head.
Before Alice could even process the shadow looming over her, Joanna stepped through the spatial rift directly in front of her. With a swift, heavy swing, Joanna slapped Alice hard across the face, the crack echoing like a gunshot through the quiet office. The force of the blow knocked Alice sideways onto the concrete floor.
Moving with ruthless efficiency, Joanna pulled heavy-duty zip ties from her gear and securely bound Alice’s hands and feet. Before her step-sister could scream for the guards, Joanna ripped a thick strip of duct tape and slapped it firmly over Alice’s mouth.
Joanna crouched down, pulling down her ski mask just enough to reveal her cold, unblinking eyes. Alice looked completely unhinged, her eyes bulging with a mixture of terror and chaotic fury as she stared up at her captor.
“It must eat you up, knowing everyone wants what I have,” Joanna said, her voice dropping into a lethal, quiet purr.
