Jonna let out an annoyed, exasperated sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Oh, please. It’s not like I wrote that part in there myself, Julian. Besides, what does it even matter anyway?”
She dropped her hand and looked around the room, her voice hardening with absolute resolve/”We have exactly seven people in this group. You all know my actual blood family is grade-A trash. In my past dream timeline, I ruined myself trying to take care of people who didn’t give a damn about me. I’m done with them. Instead, I am willing to let every single one of you be a part of this space, because you’re the ones who actually stood by me and believed in me. So, are you in or are you out?”
Julian stared at her suspiciously for a long moment, his eyes narrowing as he weighed her words. The silence stretched in the tight room until he finally let out a grumpy huff and tossed his head back with his typical arrogant posture.
“Fine,” Julian muttered, crossing his arms. “I am as much a part of this team as everyone else here. Of course I want to see your space. I’m not letting the rest of you have all the fun.”
With the tension broken, Julian sliding his hand back, he reluctantly passed the papers over. One by one, the team stepped up to the table. Julian, Rachel, Raven, Allen, Uncle Nate, and Jake each took a small needle. Without a single word of hesitation, they pricked their fingers and let a single, heavy drop of blood fall onto the gold-stamped parchment documents, sealing their souls to the pocket dimension forever.
A minute passed as the team stood in silence, looking around at one another. Suddenly, an indescribable wave of deep, radiant warmth blossomed inside everyone’s chest. The neural bond had settled. The cold walls of doubt and isolation that had haunted Joanna for so long completely vanished, replaced by a profound, unbreakable connection. They weren’t just a survival crew anymore. They were family.
Joanna cleared her throat, a rare flash of nervousness cutting through her usual commanding demeanor as she shifted her weight. “Okay… is everyone ready? I can show you my natural spring water and the villa. Also, Uncle Nate, I’ll take you straight to the farm sector so you can look at the cattle and chickens.”
Everyone nodded, their eyes locked on her. For the first time, Joanna could physically feel the weight of their absolute loyalty and deep affection flowing through the bond, washing over her like a shield.
“Let’s go,” Raven spoke up first, shifting her grip on the dog. Right on cue, Titan let out a sharp, happy little bark of agreement, making the entire room burst into a warm round of laughter.
Without another word, Joanna stepped into the center of the room and extended her right hand toward the
group.
In a blinding flash of silver light, the tight, cramped apartment walls vanished entirely. The air pressure shifted instantly, and the group was sucked right out of the physical world and deposited onto the lush, vibrant ground of her pocket dimension.
The entire team froze, completely paralyzed by the instantaneous change in environment. The heavy, stagnant feeling of the impending apocalypse was replaced by a crisp, sweet breeze that smelled of clean grass and fresh water. Nothing but pure, unadulterated amazement showed on their faces as they stared at the rolling green landscape and the massive stone villa rising in the distance.
Jolie stood beside them, grinning from ear to ear since she had already experienced the shock of seeing the space before. She nudged Joanna playfully, breaking the stunned silence of the rest of the crew. “Let’s show them your spring first, Boss.”

Joanna led the way, initiating a thorough tour of her pocket dimension. The rolling green fields and crisp air
ere overwhelming enough, but as they approached the crystal-clear natural spring, the team came to a ha The vibrant energy radiating from the water was completely new to Uncle Nate, who stared at it in fascination.
Seeing the older man’s wonder, Julian stepped forward to fill him in, his voice carrying its usual touch of superiority but mixed with genuine awe. “It has incredible rejuvenation properties, Uncle Nate. The water literally repairs cellular damage at an accelerated rate.”
A murmur of agreement passed through the group. They all started drinking the spring water for a while now, they all felt noticeably stronger, clearer, and more energized just by standing near it. Uncle Nate’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Well, don’t just stand there, let me get a drink of that!”
Jake spoke up, his deep voice drawing everyone’s attention. “It’s the exact reason Julian healed so fast. When you and Joanna brought him back, we had to literally fill the tub up with this to soak him in the spring water and patch him up.”
Next, Joanna guided them toward the massive stone villa. As they walked through the heavy front doors, the team explored the large, echoing rooms. The interior was still entirely empty of most furniture, but it was pristine and completely ready for move-in.
“After numerous upgrades, there are eleven bedrooms and three bathrooms,” Joanna explained, her voice echoing slightly in the grand hallway. “The plumbing and everything else magically connected directly to my spring water source. My long-term plan is that once we build a truly secure, fortified base in the real world, I will physically manifest this villa outside so we can all live together permanently.”
