Chapter 83 Blood Partners

The next morning arrived with brutal speed, and the team woke up under a cloud of heavy tension. The realization that the world outside was fracturing made every breath feel sharp. Without wasting a/moment, they began executing the plan to move everything completely upstairs to the second floor. The layout of the apartment made things incredibly tight, but with meticulous planning and military precision, they managed to make every single piece of gear fit.
Uncle Nate stood by the staircase, completely dumbfounded. He watched in utter shock as Joanna casually waved her hand, causing massive crates of supplies and heavy hardware to vanish into thin air, instantly freeing up precious floor space so everyone could actually move around the apartment.
Rubbing the back of his neck, Uncle Nate looked at her with deep curiosity. “Well, Joanna… seeing how you handle all this storage makes me wonder. You mentioned farming and livestock and set up the pens already? I’ve got the most experience out of anyone here when it comes to managing land and animals.” He paused, looking around the room a bit wistfully. “I just wish we could all actually see this space of yours, so I could figure out if everything is for optimized efficiency.”
Joanna froze, a sudden wave of nervousness gripping her chest. Up until this point, the dimension had been her ultimate, solitary secret. Her mind raced with a deep-seated fear that had held her back-the terror that this team wouldn’t actually want to tie themselves to her forever. After all, her own flesh and blood, Alice and Gwen, had never loved her. Why would anyone else willingly choose a permanent covenant?
“Actually,” Joanna spoke up, her voice steadying as she composed herself. “There is a way to bring all of you inside. But to do it, you have to become part of a Bonded Partner system.”
With a fluid motion, Joanna reached into her pocket dimension and brought out the stack of dense, gold- stamped parchment documents, placing them on the table. She quietly explained the Bonded Partnership Protocol-the absolute blood covenant that would grant them permanent access to the dimension. She laid it out with pure, logistical honesty: it would anchor their souls to her lifeforce, establishing a 100% absolute loyalty via a permanent neural bonding.
Allen leaned over the table, squinting at the ancient, glowing text on the pages with a heavily sarcastic smirk. “Right, because an ancient blood contract printed on fancy gold paper is totally standard survival protocol. How exactly do you know this magic paper even works, Joanna? Did you read a review online?”
Before Joanna could answer, Jolie stepped forward, crossing her arms with a confident grin. “Because just yesterday, she bonded me to the space and brought me right inside,” Jolie announced, her eyes shining with excitement. “I’ve seen it with my own eyes, Allen. It totally works. It’s a massive, incredible piece of land, and the contract transfers all the information right into your head.”
A collective murmur went through the room as Allen’s sarcasm faltered, replaced by genuine shock. Knowing Jolie had already taken the leap completely cracked Allen’s doubts.
One by one, the team began to speak up. Rachel nodded firmly, Raven gave a quiet smile of agreement, and Uncle Nate patted the table with a resolute grin. They were all completely willing to join.
Joanna stood there, deeply touched as she looked at the circle of faces. “Alright,” she said, her voice softening just a fraction before she hardened her gaze. “Read up on how the space works, but just know that after this, you are stuck with me leading from now on. There’s no turning back.”
Allen let out a dramatic sigh, rolling his eyes with his usual sarcasm. “Oh, please. You’ve been bossing us around forever just fine anyway. We’re all completely used to it by now. Just give us the pins so we can get

-just happy to finally see where all these supplies we’ve been running ragged preparing are actually gog, Raven admitted, holding a happily panting Titan closer to her chest.
Everyone stepped forward to grab a parchment, but before the first finger could be pricked, Julian let out a sharp, irritated hiss. Arrogant and grumpy as always, he slapped his hand down onto his document, stopping Allen from moving forward.
“Wait a minute,” Julian demanded, his eyes narrowed as he focused entirely on the fine print/
He was reading the specific segment detailing the Bonded Partnership Protocols:
(HOSTPROTOCOL): You are permitted up to ten Bonded Partnerships to be sealed within the system matrix. This is on absolute blood covenant activated by fusing a single drop of your blood with a drop of the chosen subject’s blood. A Blood Partner is granted permanent residential access to the stone villa and can physically traverse the dimensional plane alongside the host. This failsafe protocol is strictly reserved for elite allies, children, and spouses. All Blood Partners are anchored to the host’s lifeforce for eternity. Upon activation of the covenant, 100% absolute loyalty is enforced via neural bonding. A Blood Partner is biologically incapable of betrayal until death.
Julian slowly flipped the heavy parchment over, his corporate-trained eyes locking onto the dense paragraph stamped in gold ink near the bottom. He stared at the plural wording, his jaw tightening by the second.
He slowly looked up, his gaze locking onto Joanna with a deadly, piercing intensity. “What exactly is this about multiple spouses, Joanna?” Julian asked, his voice dripping with an icy, dangerous tone that demanded an immediate answer.
Joanna went completely speechless, her cheeks flushing with a sudden wave of heat. She had noticed that pragmatic, open-minded loophole herself when she first examined the system matrix, but she had completely forgotten it was printed right there on the document.
Of course, she thought frantically, staring at Julian’s furious expression. Trust Julian to ignore the part about absolute loyalty and life-or-death survival, and zero in on the polygamy clause instead.
