Even if that guy had been evolving like crazy, he was only a Five-Sigil now. There was no way he had surpassed Kenneth in level.
So why was Steven stronger than him?
Why?
Kenneth couldn’t understand it. More than that, he couldn’t accept it.
This defeat was humiliating.
He had to settle the score.
If he had used that power today, he could have turned the fight around.
But he had hesitated…
A cold light flashed deep in Kenneth’s eyes. This wasn’t over.
Three days passed quietly.
Steven and the others fought their way forward and finally reached the western edge of Solaria Mountains.
They hadn’t entered the mountains yet, but the heavy scent of beasts already filled the air.
There was also the smell of blood.
Beasts fought among themselves too. In a beast tide this large, weaker beasts often became food for the stronger ones.
Countless beasts had gathered along the edge of Mount Solaria, waiting for their chance to
move.
Nearly the entire western border was packed with them.
Getting through would be difficult. Even the smallest disturbance could draw an entire beast swarm down on them.
“This is way worse than I expected,” Olivia said.

“Once we get inside, things should actually get easier,” Steven said. “This is level 7 beast territory. Low-level beasts won’t dare enter. They aren’t even allowed in. Most of the beasts inside should be Level 5 or Level 6.”
Edric frowned. “Looks like the God Eaters really do want those Celestial Army soldiers dead.”
Steven was silent for a moment. “Maybe killing them isn’t the only goal. The God Eaters migh want to make absolutely sure they get the Ember Sacred Sword fragment. They don’t want a single survivor escaping.”
Fiona looked at him. “Is the Ember Sacred Sword fragment really somewhere in these mountains?”
Steven hesitated, then nodded. “It’s inside.”
Everyone stared at him in shock. They had no idea how he could be so certain.
Steven didn’t explain.
“If that’s true, then we have to go in no matter how dangerous it is,” Edric said. “The Ember Sacred Sword holds the secret of the Divine Eternal. There’s no way we can walk away from
that.”
Steven glanced at Bianca.
Something about her expression seemed off.
“Bianca, what’s wrong?”
Bianca hid her discomfort and gave him a small smile. “Nothing. There are just so many beasts. It’s a little overwhelming.”
Steven studied her for a moment but didn’t press her.
The truth was, Bianca felt something strange.
