Rewriting Fate with My Apex War Goddess (by Ezekiel Valor) novel Chapter 667

667 Steven Takes the Offensive

What about your guys?”

Steven shook his head. “We still have something to do. Don’t worry about us. I’ll make sure everyone gets back safely.”

Edric could tell how serious the situation was.

He nodded firmly. “All right. I understand.”

“Good. From here on, you and Shane are in charge.”

Steven continued, “I wanted to get you all out of here, but if I stay away from the battle too long, they might notice something. Cloudspire is the safest place I can leave you.”

Steven took Edric on a wide loop. They broke through the southern side, then circled west toward Cloudspire.

After dropping him off, Steven immediately raced back.

He moved at five times the speed of sound the entire way.

At that speed, he could cover more than a mile every second. Carrying another person slowed him down a little, but the whole trip still took less than 30 seconds.

That was fast enough to keep anyone from noticing.

The battle raged on.

Every so often, Steven quietly pulled another person away.

He would disappear for a few moments, then return before anyone noticed.

Even Darby’s side failed to catch on.

After all, people were falling everywhere. One more person disappearing in the chaos didn’t seem strange.

The numbers of Ashen and the Valkyries team members kept dropping.

Soon, the Valkyries had left the battlefield

Only Steven, Alan, Bianca, and Logan remained from the Ashen.

Steven finally breathed a little easier.

Logan wasn’t the type to ask questions anyway.

He just kept firing like crazy, blasting apart every beast in their path.

However, Polaris, Soulreaver, Nebula, and Wyrmshade eventually noticed something was wrong.

Where did everyone go?

Did they all die?

Keneth and the others were secretly pleased.

Good. Serves them right.

More people fell.

Screams filled the battlefield.

There were simply too many beasts.

Their force had already dropped to barely more than 200 people.

Riley’s expression grew darker.

“Cayden, if this keeps up, we’re all going to die! We need to take out their commanders!“.

They were already preparing to climb the mountain.

But at this rate, even if they reached the summit, hardly anyone would be left alive.

Cayden’s face tightened. The casualties had gone far beyond anything he had expected.

If this continued, they would be wiped out before they even reached Heavenspire Peak.

He turned toward Steven and shouted, “Steven! Give us their positions!”

Steven exchanged a look with Bianca. “Be careful.”

Bianca nodded.

Steven turned to the others and roared, “Keep Bianca safe!”

“Don’t worry, Mr. Fisher!” Logan replied. “They’ll have to go through me first!”

Steven wasted no more time.

His wings snapped open and shot toward Cayden.

Taking out the enemy commanders was exactly what Steven wanted.

He could hunt them himself, but killing all those Six–Sigil Divine Kings one by one would take too long.

A strike like this had to be fast.

What insane speed!

Even I can’t move this fast!
