Chapter 670 Darby’s Deadly Trap
Everyone tensed.
Darby wore a cold smile. “Cayden. Heath. Good to see you again. Oh, right. And Alan too.”
His smile grew colder.
Heath and Cayden both snorted.
Heath glared at him and said, “I knew a scheming snake like you had to be behind all this.”
Darby chuckled. “I’ll take that as a compliment. I paid a heavy price to kill all of you. But I didn’t expect someone here to ruin my plans. I’m curious. Who is the one who managed to track down my men? Why don’t you step forward and introduce yourself?”
At those words, several people glanced toward Team Ashen.
Alan’s eyes burned with rage.
He would never forget that face.
Darby had slaughtered every member of Alan’s old team.
Yvonne had died by his hand too.
Alan had dreamed of killing this monster ever since.
Darby followed their gazes.
“I see. So it’s one of you.”
His eyes landed on Steven.
“I’ve heard a lot about you, Steven. You only went through your Divine Awakening this year, but you’re strong enough to kill a level 6 beast. You’re becoming a serious problem for us.”
He smiled.
“Good. I’ll take care of that problem today.”
Steven remained expressionless.
This wasn’t his fight to lead, and he had no intention of drawing attention to himself.
Besides, they had a much bigger problem.
The Goldbolt Ape. None of them could fight that thing head-on.
Alan stared coldly at Darby. “I’m going to kill you.”
Darby burst out laughing.
“Alan, are you dreaming? You’re only a Divine General. You think you can kill me? You’ve never been a match for me!”
Darby quickly lost interest in him and turned toward Cayden and Heath.
“I’ve wanted to kill you two for a long time. I bet you never expected me to bring a level 7 beast with me. What a bunch of fools. Did you really think all you had to do was fight your way up Heavenspire Peak, find me, and win? Hahaha! I’ve been playing games with you the whole time. Enough talk. You can all die now. I have a sacred artifact to find, and you’re wasting my time.”
Darby laughed wildly.
He looked as if victory was already his.
Then he casually raised one hand.
The Goldbolt Ape beside him stepped forward.
Just one step. Yet the pressure that followed felt like an entire mountain crashing down on
everyone.
That beast was about to attack!
It threw back its head and roared.
Then it charged.
An overwhelming pressure exploded from its body.
Countless streaks of golden lightning burst from its fur.
They weren’t ordinary bolts.
Each one carried terrifying destructive power.
This was the Goldbolt Ape’s natural ability!
