Chapter 671 Darby’s Perfect Trap
The illusion shattered.
Steven finally saw the faint energy surrounding them. It was almost impossible to notice, hidden within the air itself.
His expression changed at once.
“Stop! It’s a Divine-Sealed Domain!”
But by the time Steven shouted the warning, it was already too late.
Cayden was leading the charge. He thought he had everything under control. All they had to do was take down the Goldbolt Ape.
With their remaining strength, they could still wipe out Darby and his men afterward.
Then they would win.
The beast army would retreat.
That had been Cayden’s plan from the start.
His Sigil Armor covered his entire body. He was already prepared to take a direct hit from the Goldbolt Ape.
At the same time, eight metal spheres shot out of his spatial converter.
A wild excitement appeared on his face. He was sure he was about to win.
Then he heard Steven’s warning.
Cayden froze for a split second.
A terrible feeling hit him. But there was no stopping it now.
The eight metal spheres had already activated.
They flew through the air and surrounded the Goldbolt Ape.
In an instant, they linked together.
A terrifying surge of energy erupted.
Power flashed between the eight spheres, forming a massive cube-shaped prison.
The Goldbolt Ape was trapped inside.
Destructive beams erupted from all eight spheres and fired at the beast.
Every single beam carried enough power to kill a Six-Sigil Divine King in one hit.
It was pure destruction.
Everything happened in the blink of an eye.
Cayden barely had time to react. This should have been his moment of victory. Instead, he suddenly realized something was wrong.
The Goldbolt Ape’s golden lightning struck them and vanished.
It was fake!
The beams from the eight metal spheres tore straight through the Goldbolt Ape.
They passed through its body without resistance.
Then the beast disappeared.
Just like that.
Anyone who did not understand what had happened might have thought they had won.
But Cayden and Heath went deathly pale.
They were finished.
The cube-shaped prison remained in the sky. There was nothing inside it.
Darby burst into wild laughter.
“Hahaha! You fool! What an absolute fool! You actually wasted your Abyssal Cage like that! Did you really think you were being clever? You thought I didn’t know what you were planning?”
At that moment, something changed around them.
A smaller Goldbolt Ape stepped out from behind the God Eaters gathered at Darby’s rear. It was only about six feet tall. A vicious grin spread across its face.
Cayden turned white.
“No! That’s impossible! How can a beast have a Divine-Sealed Domain? That’s impossible!”
Cayden looked like a child who had just realized he had made a terrible mistake.
Now every Draconia Awakened understood.
