Rewriting Fate with My Apex War Goddess (by Ezekiel Valor) novel Chapter 694

Chapter 694 A Hidden Enemy Revealed

That’s it?

Steven wasn’t ready to jump to conclusions. There was something else.

The Thousand Shadows might still be alive.

Things had been too chaotic back then. Steven hadn’t had time to deal with him.

A bad feeling settled over him.

Something isn’t right.

They were about 120 miles from the Solaria Mountains and were preparing to speed up in their combat vehicles when the ground suddenly shook.

A deafening wave of beast roars rolled toward them.

Everyone’s expression changed.

“A beast tide?!”

Dark shapes soon appeared across the horizon.

Beasts. An endless sea of them.

“Damn it! How did we run into a beast tide this big?” Shane cursed.

Everyone immediately prepared for battle. The beast tide was coming from the west, completely blocking their path.

There had to be more than a hundred thousand beasts.

And among them were quite a few level 6 beasts.

Alan’s voice turned cold. “Prepare for battle!”

Steven suddenly narrowed his eyes at something in the distance.

Ahead of the approaching beast tide, a figure slowly rose from the ground.

At first glance, Steven had mistaken him for a rock.

Then he saw the man’s face. A murderous glint flashed in his eyes.

The Thousand Shadows! That bastard really is still alive!

He stood in front of the beast tide, staring straight at Steven and the others.

Steven could clearly see his injuries.

Bianca had badly wounded him yesterday, and he still hadn’t recovered.

Finished

The Undying Flame seemed to possess some strange power. It kept the werewolf’s healing ability from

orking properly.

His body was still badly damaged.

And that was exactly what bothered Steven.

The old bastard had to know that any one of the three of them could kill him now. So why did he dare show himself?

The beast tide thundered closer.

Everyone braced for battle.

The Thousand Shadows didn’t approach.

He simply disappeared into the beast tide, watching them from among the beasts.

Steven leaned toward Alan and spoke quietly.

“That old bastard is still alive. He’s right ahead of us. Maybe…”

Alan nodded.

“Just stay alert. Be ready for anything.”

Steven narrowed his eyes, then turned toward Logan.

“Protect everyone. Once we get back, we’ll make your membership official.”

Logan’s eyes lit up at once. “Yes, Vice Captain!”

The next second, he charged forward and soared into the air.

He threw back his head and laughed.

“Out of my way, you little pests! Nothing’s stopping me from joining the team!”

With a hard swing of his arm, dozens of origin energy bombs shot from his hand.

They slammed into the beast horde.

Boom!

Mushroom clouds erupted among the beasts at the front.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The explosions lit up the battlefield like a massive fireworks show.

Tens of thousands of beasts were wiped out in the first barrage alone.

Logan landed on the ground. practically shaking with excitement.

Then he pulled an entire row of heavy cannons from his spatial converter.

of them. He lined them up perfectly.

A wild grin spread across his face.

“All right, you little monsters! Say hello to my big guns!Fire!”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

All ten cannons fired at once.

Boom!

Rumble!

The sky thundered.

The ground shook violently.

Everyone stared in disbelief.

Does this guy ever run out of weapons?

He had fought all day yesterday, yet somehow he still had this much heavy firepower left.

Each of those cannons had to cost a fortune.

A single shot probably burned through more than a million in resources.

And Logan kept firing as if money meant nothing. He was burning through money and resources like water.

These heavy cannons were the kind of crystal weapons normally mounted on fortress walls.

No one had any idea where Logan had gotten so many of them.

The man was practically an artillery battalion all by himself.

None of them had ever seen anyone fight by throwing this much money at the enemy. But the beasts soon came rushing in from other directions.

The cannons never stopped firing. Logan kept loading them with origin crystals as fast as he could.

Before anyone had time to think about it, the beasts reached them.

Everyone roared.

“Kill them!”

They charged forward and crashed into the beast tide.

Another brutal battle began.
