Chapter 154 Once The Door Is Locked
Baron’s POV
A sudden, sweet, and heavy scent hit me causing my wolf to perk up.
Lilies.
Ink.
And the intoxicating scent of my Luna’s arousal.
I went perfectly still.
I turned.
Natalie was standing in the doorway.
She looked like a dream and a provocation.

Her hair was half–damp, dark locks clinging to the silk of her robe and framing her crimson face.
Her lips were parted, her chest heaving in a way that matched my own.
Seeing her there, seeing the way her gaze traced the scars on my back and the sweat on my chest with a hunger she couldn’t hide, snapped the last of my restraint.
She was standing there with a short, slightly opened robe.
‘Mine. Raze purred in my head.
I strode over, the distance between us vanishing in three steps.
I didn’t give her a chance to move.
I seized the back of her head, my fingers tangling in her damp hair, and pinned her against the frosted glass of the door.
She didn’t hesitate, planting her lips against mine with a hunger that caught me off guard.
Her mouth was soft, but I wanted more, sucking at her lip until I knew I’d left a flush behind.
I let my hand wander, tracing the line of her bare thigh until I hit the hem of her panty.

I wanted to see how far she’d let me go.
“Nat… you sure?”
“Yes–Baron, please…” she pleaded, her voice causing me to snap.
I didn’t wait for a second invitation.
I slid my fingers higher, grazing the fabric between her legs.
She was already drenched.
The heat coming off her was intoxicating.

“So fucking wet, just for me?” I breathed against the curve of her neck, licking my mark on her neck.
“Just for you,” she whispered.
I hooked my fingers into the edge of her panties, tugging the silk aside to finally feel her.
I let out a low growl: she was perfect.
“So fucking beautiful,” I muttered, my thumbs parting her slowly, watching her bite her lip in anticipation.
She leaned back in, her mouth seeking mine again as she cupped my face.
I could feel the trust in her touch and that made Raze surge forward.
“Do you trust me, Nat?” I asked, my voice vibrating against her lips.
When she nodded, I started the rhythm – slow, steady, and agonizingly patient.
“Baron, I-”
“Patience, baby,” I cooed.
I reached up, gently tugging a strand of her hair to keep her grounded while my thumb found her center.
The sound she made then was everything.
I could feel her wolf at that moment.

I added a second finger, feeling her body jerk forward in surprise, her eyes fluttering shut as she lost herself.
She gripped my shoulders, trying to find a rhythm, trying to grind down against me.
I wasn’t going to let her rush it. “Ride them, baby. Ride my fingers.”
I felt the tension building in her stomach, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
I curled my tips inward, hitting that one spot I knew would break her.
“Ah, ah, fuck, Baron!” she cried out.
“Let me hear you, Natalie,” I urged.
I wanted every sound she had.
When she screamed my name, it was the best thing I’d ever heard.
I watched her eyes go wide, her knees buckling under as I held her.
“Let go,” I commanded.
Her toes curled, her body slick with sweat as she squeezed my shoulders, her muscles trembling with the force of it.
Finally, she collapsed against my chest, her heart hammering against mine like she’d just finished a race.
I pulled my hand back, smoothing her robe back into place, and couldn’t resist the taste of her on my lips.
I placed my fingers on my lips to taste her, to remind her and myself exactly whose mark she carried.
I pulled back just before Raze completely unraveled, my hands still gripping her hair, keeping her face inches from mine.
I looked at her… her lips were swollen from my kiss, her eyes dazed and swimming with a desire that made my wolf howl.
But beneath the heat, I saw the damp hair that I had just pulled while she came.
“Running over here with your hair still wet?” I rasped, my voice low, trying to distract my wolf. “Don’t tell me anyone else saw you in this state”

Without waiting for her response or even giving her a chance to catch her breath, I grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the gym.
I led her into the adjoining lounge where I pushed her gently onto a plush velvet chair. I grabbed a blow dryer from a nearby cabinet and plugged it in.
The roar of the machine filled the room as she just stared at me.
I stood behind her, my large fingers moving through her damp locks.
I was careful, despite the tremor in my hands.
The warm air swept across her scalp, and I could feel her beginning to relax, her head lolling back slightly as I worked.
She still hadn’t caught up to what had just happened – the transition from the moment we just had to this tender care.
I watched her through the mirror on the wall.
She looked small in the chair, her robe slightly askew, her skin still flushed.
I thought about the wolf inside her.
I thought about the Stone name she had taken today.
My heart ached with a possessive sadness, but I kept my focus on the dark silk of her hair.
“You… you’re not going to shower?”
The words slipped out of her mouth before she could stop them.
I saw her eyes widen in the mirror, her face turning an even deeper shade of crimson.
I stopped the dryer.
The sudden silence was deafening.
I leaned down, my face close to her ear, the heat from my body enveloping her.
“If I step into that shower right now, Natalie.” I whispered, my voice laced with my promise, “I’m taking you with me. And I don’t think you’re ready for what happens once that door is locked.”
I saw her swallow hard, her pulse jumping in her neck.

I turned the dryer back on, the hum of the machine a shield for the both of us.
