The three–hour boat journey came to an end as Devon’s private yacht glided smoothly toward a small island covered with lush green vegetation. I stood at the bow, mesmerized by the sight before me.
“Oh my God, this is literally paradise!” Lily exclaimed, leaning dangerously far over the railing in her excitement. Her golden–brown hair whipped around her face in the sea breeze as she pointed at the approaching shoreline. “Devon, is this really your private island?”
Devon stood behind me, his warm hand resting protectively on my shoulder. “Yes, it’s called ‘Shadow Moon Island.’ I purchased it five years ago, he replied, a hint of pride in his deep voice.
Aileen was busy taking photos, her camera clicking rapidly. “The water is so clear I can see all the way to the bottom! Look at those coral reefs!”
The moment my feet touched the wooden dock, an unexpected surge of energy flooded through my body. It was pure, primal, and incredibly powerful. My
white wolf, who had been relatively calm since our reconciliation, suddenly became wildly active, howling with excitement in my mind.
“What’s wrong?” Devon immediately sensed my reaction, his blue eyes narrowing with concern.
“My wolf… she’s excited,” I explained, placing a hand over my heart where I could feel her joyful movements. “The energy here is… different. Special.”
A satisfied smile spread across Devon’s face. “That’s exactly why I chose this place. This island sits at the convergence of several ley lines–natural energy pathways. It’s an ideal location for werewolves to train and connect with their inner wolves.”
Aiden took a deep breath, closing his eyes momentarily. “Even I can feel something different here. The air seems charged with some kind of ancient power.”
Devon led us along a stone path that wound through tropical vegetation toward the center of the island. After a short walk, we came upon a stunning Mediterranean–style villa. Its white walls glowed with a warm golden hue in the setting sun, and large windows reflected the surrounding paradise.
“Lily, “There are six bedrooms in total,” Devon explained as he unlocked the massive wooden front door. “Lily, your room is on the second floor to the left–it has an amazing ocean view. Aileen, yours is on the right with its own study. Aiden, I thought the guest room on the first floor would suit you best.”
“That’s so thoughtful!” Aileen exclaimed, genuinely surprised.
Devon then turned to me, his eyes sparkling with gentle amusement. “As for us, the master bedroom, of course.” He took my hand and led me toward the room, my heart beginning to race.
As evening fell, our friends retreated to their rooms to rest and unpack. Devon took my hand and led me down to the beach. The sand felt cool beneath my bare feet, and the rhythmic sound of waves washing ashore had a calming effect.
“Do you feel it?” Devon stopped walking and turned to face me. The fading sunlight illuminated his strong features. “The moon is about to rise. Your wolf is responding to her call.”
I nodded, but due to the unfamiliar environment, I felt the restlessness inside me growing stronger by the minute, “She wants to come out, but I’m a little
afraid…”
“Don’t be afraid,” Devon said, cupping my face with both hands. His touch was firm yet gentle, grounding me. Here, with me, you are completely safe. Werewolves naturally feel stronger impulses in environments like this. It’s normal.”

Chapter 205
The sea breeze caressed our skin, bringing with it the salty scent of ocean water. On the horizon, the moon began its ascent, casting a silvery path across
the water’s surface.
“Devon,” I said, gripping his hands tightly. “Teach me what to do.”
“First, relax your body,” Devon instructed, his voice deep and steady. “Don’t fight against your wolf. Let her know you’re willing to work with her, not against
her.”
I closed my eyes, trying to release the tension in my muscles. ‘I can feel her. She’s impatient.
“Tell her you have plenty of time,‘ Devon said, his hand gently rubbing my back in soothing circles. “Shifting isn’t a battle–it’s a fusion. Imagine you’re dancing together, and you both need to follow each other’s lead.”
Following Devon’s guidance, I reached inward and attempted to communicate with my white wolf. Gradually, I felt my bones beginning to shift, muscles rearranging themselves under my skin. The sensation was intense but not as painful as before.
“That’s it, Evelyn,” Devon encouraged. “Don’t fear the pain. It’s the price of growth.”
Minutes later, I stood on four paws, my body covered in silvery–white fur that seemed to glow in the moonlight. I looked toward Devon and saw that he too had transformed into a massive black wolf, his blue eyes shining with pride.
You did wonderfully, my mate. Devon’s voice resonated in my mind, clear and intimate.
This feels… amazing. I responded, marveling at the strength in my limbs and the sharpness of my senses. The world around me was transformed–brighter, more vivid, filled with scents and sounds I’d never noticed before.
Devon led me along the shoreline, teaching me how to move in my wolf form. We ran together, our paws barely touching the sand as we raced against the
waves.
‘In wolf society,‘ Devon explained as we ran, ‘we communicate through scent, posture, and telepathy. Try to sense my emotions.”
I concentrated, reaching out with my mind, and suddenly I could feel what Devon was feeling–tenderness, protectiveness, and a deep, unwavering love that made my heart swell.
‘I can feel it!‘ I exclaimed excitedly. ‘Your love feels so warm.
Devon stopped running and nuzzled my neck with his nose–a wolf’s way of showing affection. mimicked his gesture, nuzzling under his chin.
‘You’re a quick learner, Devon said approvingly. ‘Now try projecting your emotions to me.
I focused on sending my feelings of love and gratitude toward him.
Devon’s wolf eyes widened, filled with surprise and emotion, as if he could feel the softest part of my heart. In that moment, our souls seemed to embrace silently, our emotions intertwining into a warm light that illuminated the coastline in the night.
I felt his love–gentle yet irresistible like the tide–gradually filling the emptiness within my heart, giving me a sense of completeness and peace I had never experienced before.
