Chapter 164
“You’ll need to invite someone else to fill his spot.”
Thanks to the first episode of the live variety show, Alicia finally got rid of her bad rep as a deadweight.

The whole identity controversy was also cleared up after the Hammond family publicly disowned her at Caleb’s father’s birthday banquet.
Lucent Media’s PR team also used the show to help Darren clean up his image and get rid of the rumors that he was a diva
on set.
After all, everyone could tell from the show that he wasn’t anything like the troublemaker people said he was.
They even found evidence that all the rumors about him were made up.
Darren didn’t really have a knack for variety shows–he was way more passionate about acting–so the company arranged for him to leave the show and focus on filming instead.
Alicia nodded. “Darren texted me about it yesterday, and I totally support him stepping away from the variety show to take on the drama role.”
Honestly, putting Darren on the variety show was always just a PR move to fix his reputation.
She turned to Jason and said, “I don’t really have anyone in the industry I’m close enough with to invite onto the variety show. Maybe you can send one of your Lucent Media artists instead?”
Since joining the business, most of the people she’d gotten to know were from LUMIA, but she couldn’t really ask any of them to come on the show.
In her previous life, after switching to acting, she’d made a few good friends, but right now, she wasn’t close to any of them
yet.
Landon grinned, pointed at himself, and said to Alicia, “Hey, what do you think about having me on the show?”
Alicia’s eyes lit up. “Absolutely! Plus, we can use it to hype up our new show.”
Landon had just gotten back from overseas, but he was already a hotshot young director making waves in the industry.
He was seriously good–looking, with a soft, refined vibe and that bookish charm–plenty of people were into that type.
Let’s be real, these days looks are everything, and Landon definitely wasn’t lacking in fans.
Landon nodded. “That’s exactly what I was thinking.”
Jason agreed. “Once you finish filming the second episode of the variety show, you can start shooting the drama.”
With Lucent Media backing the project, they could get everything set up in no time.
Jason added, “The ‘Friends on the Road‘ crew already filmed two episodes for the first season, so you won’t need to be part of the second season.”
Alicia said, “Once I finish these two episodes, that should pretty much wrap things up for me.”
As the three of them were deep in conversation, a sudden knock sounded at the door.

Chapter 164
Landon said, “I’ll get it.”
He stood up and opened the door, and there was Collin standing right outside.
Landon blinked in surprise, then realization hit him.
Guess he couldn’t get hold of Alicia, so he showed up in person.
He asked, “Mr. Delaney, are you sure you’re in the right room?”
Collin replied. “Nope, I’m here for Alicia.”
Landon didn’t move aside. Instead, he turned to Alicia and said, “Mr. Delaney’s here for you.”
Alicia was speechless. ‘Can they just give it a rest already?‘ she thought.
She stood up and walked over, standing next to Landon as she looked at Collin.
Her voice was cold and distant as she asked, “What do you want, Mr. Delaney?”
