Chapter 232
Chapter 232
After a short while, the angry red-purple hue on Nicolas’s face faded away, and his breathing evened out.
The monitors showed his vitals slowly returning to normal.
No one in the room could bring themselves to feel happy-the outcome was just too much to handle.
All that was running through the Hammond brothers’ minds was: Nicole had really caused a disaster this time.
Nicolas wasn’t just the Moore family’s only heir-he was the one they doted on the most.
Now that he was left unable to have kids because of Nicole, there’s no way the Moore family will ever let her get away with this.
Of course, the Hammond family wouldn’t get off easy either-they’d definitely get caught in the crossfire and end up in trouble too, just for being related to Nicole.
Whether or not the Moore couple will actually retaliate against the Hammonds all depends on if they can stay rational about it.
When they saw Nicolas’s face finally return to normal, the Moore couple let out a sigh of relief.
But they were still fuming inside, unable to calm down no matter what.
Diana couldn’t help but look at Alicia, a flicker of hope in her eyes. “If we find the person who made this drug, is there any chance Nicolas could recover?”
Alicia replied, “If the person who made it left some kind of backup or antidote, there might be a sliver of hope.”
But honestly, hope was slim to none-the moment you took that drug, it started working right away.
She didn’t mention that part, though. At least this way, the Moore family would have something to hold on to and really try to find whoever made the drug.
Honestly, she was dying to know who it was too.
Even though Diana felt a bit more hopeful, she was still really upset inside.
She glanced around the room and asked Kevin, “Where’s Mavis?”
Kevin replied, “She wasn’t feeling well, so she went back to the hotel to rest.”

Of course, he couldn’t exactly say that she was crying so much and looking so pitiful that he found her presence unbearable, so he had her sent back.
Diana’s face darkened. “My son is in this state, and she actually has the nerve to go back to the hotel and rest?
“Tell me the name of the hotel she’s staying at and her room number,” she demanded.
Seeing Diana looking like she was out for blood, Kevin figured she was probably about to storm over to the hotel and give Mavis a piece of her mind.
The brothers had just gotten caught in the crossfire and really didn’t want to take the blame for Mavis.
So he gave her the hotel name and room number.
