The production team rushed Nicolas to the city hospital.

Members of both the Moore family and the Hammond family made their way to the city hospital in a hurry.

In another city in the neighboring province.

Alicia took Jason out for a late-night bite.

Jason scooped her a bowl of seafood porridge. “You predicted it again-Nicole pulled off another stunt.”

Before they headed out, Alicia had Jason arrange for someone to keep tabs on Nicole.

Alicia took the porridge. “With both of us out of the picture, Nicole was bound to take advantage of the situation and cause some drama.

“But even though I figured she’d pull a stunt, I never expected her to actually drug Nicolas.”

Thinking about it, Alicia suddenly wondered if maybe Jett was the one who egged Nicole on.

Jason said, “If she’d pulled it off, Nicolas wouldn’t have been able to talk his way out of it.

“The Hammond family would’ve used it to put pressure on the Moore family and force Nicolas to marry Nicole.

“It’s a dirty trick, but sometimes it actually works.”

Alicia smiled. “That’s true, but now it’s the Moore family’s chance to leverage this and put the squeeze on the Hammond family.

“Nicole’s little stunt totally embarrassed the Hammonds. My ex-dad and ex-brothers are almost guaranteed to start treating her differently now.”

Their precious little parasite had turned into a man-eater. She bet Kevin and his brothers would be on high alert from now

Jason asked, “Do you think Nicole will still stay on the show after all this?”

Alicia replied, “She’s out for sure. This whole thing is just way too humiliating.

“And with Nicolas in the hospital, he might just drop out of the show altogether.

“Nicole won’t have any reason to stick around after that.”

Jason nodded. “That’s what I figured too.

“The hospital where Nicolas is staying is going to be buzzing with drama tonight.

“I had someone follow the production team when they took Nicolas to the hospital. We’ll get updates on anything that happens over there.”

He was thoroughly enjoying the show with Alicia, just eating up all the drama.

Alicia shot him an approving look. “Good job.”

She was having just as much fun watching the Moore and Hammond families’ mess unfold.

After finishing their late-night snack, the two of them strolled back to the hotel at a leisurely pace.

Alicia walked Jason back to his room. As soon as they stepped inside, his phone started ringing.

After hanging up, he turned to Alicia. “Something’s wrong with Nicolas-he’s having some kind of health problem.

“The Moore family might ask you to step in and help.

“Are you going to go?”

Alicia sat down on the couch. “If the Moore family gives me a call, I’ll go.

“But I’m not going there just to treat Nicolas-I’ve got something I need to check.”

She wanted to find out if the drug Nicolas got was the same one Jett had tried to use on her in her past life.

For some reason, she just felt like getting to the bottom of this really mattered.

Jason nodded. “As long as you’ve got it figured out.”

Sure enough. Not long after, Alicia got a call from Diana, asking for help.

Diana sounded really anxious, and Alicia didn’t play hard to get-she just said yes.

The city Alicia was in wasn’t too far from where Nicolas was hospitalized-about a four-hour drive.

Jason called up a driver to take her there.

On the way, Jason got another update from over there.

He said, “Kevin and his brothers showed up at the hospital with Mavis to visit Nicolas, but Diana really tore into them.

“She didn’t even let them through the door to the hospital room.”

Alicia wasn’t surprised. “Nicolas is their one and only, and after Nicole pulled that crap and now he’s in bad shape, of course Diana’s going to blame them for everything.”

‘Diana couldn’t stand Mavis and Nicole to begin with. No way she’d just let this slide,’ she thought.

Jason showed Alicia the video he’d just gotten. “Those three Hammond brothers got roasted pretty hard too.”

Alicia took the phone and hit play. The whole clip was Diana, her face cold as ice, just ripping into Kevin and his brothers with biting sarcasm.

Kevin and his brothers looked like they’d just been slapped, but they had no choice but to keep groveling and apologizing for Nicole, again and again.

Meanwhile, at the hospital….

After Diana finished roasting Kevin and his brothers, she just left them hanging outside the hospital room.

Mavis, meanwhile, was bawling her eyes out as if she were the one who’d been deeply wronged.

Since marrying Leo, this was the first time anyone had ever chewed her out so mercilessly.

She genuinely felt wronged, but at the same time, she was silently cursing her daughter for being so useless.

Seeing her like that, Kevin and his brothers were just speechless and totally fed up.

He said coldly, “Crying isn’t going to fix anything. This is all thanks to your darling daughter.

“She’s off hiding, and we’re the ones stuck here getting yelled at and apologizing for her.”

He yanked at his tie, looking seriously annoyed. “If you’re gonna cry, go do it somewhere else. It’s honestly exhausting just looking at you.”

His company was already a mess lately, and now he had to come here just to get chewed out.

Seeing his stepmom sobbing only pissed him off even more.

‘No wonder Nicole’s always crying-she must’ve inherited it from Mavis, Austin thought.

Mavis never thought Austin, who usually kept things civil, would just straight up say she was annoying.

She was really upset, but there was nothing she could do about it.

She gripped the strap of her handbag tightly, head down, not saying a word.

With Leo not around to back her up, there was no way she was going to go up against her three step-sons.

Seeing this, Kevin turned to his assistant. “Take Mrs. Hammond to the hotel to rest. We’ll handle things here.”

Having Mavis around was just making Diana even angrier.

Honestly, the brothers were getting pretty frustrated with her too.

She was always more trouble than help-just dragging everyone down. Sending her to the hotel was definitely for the best.

She really didn’t want to stick around and get chewed out any longer, so she looked up at Kevin and said, “Sorry to trouble you guys with this.”

With that, she didn’t hesitate to follow Kevin’s assistant out of the hospital.

Austin scowled, “Dad said marrying her was supposed to be for our sake, but honestly? She’s just a jinx dragging us down.

“If she wasn’t always scheming and teaching Nicole how to plot against Ally, Ally never would’ve cut us off.

“Our family’s been cursed with bad luck lately. Like Ally said, all that crying from those two just brings nothing but bad

vibes.”

The more trouble piled up, the more Austin was convinced-those two crybabies were nothing but bad news for the family.

It’s like those two have totally jinxed the Hammond family-ever since they showed up, it’s been nothing but bad luck.

Kevin let out a sigh. “What can we do? Guess we’re just stuck with it.

“Unless Dad divorces her, we’re just gonna have to deal.”

But they all knew their dad was totally hung up on Mavis-there’s no way he’d ever kick her to the curb.

Unless Mavis does something truly unforgivable.

Thinking it over, Kevin said, “Maybe we should start by looking into her ex-husband-see if we can dig up any dirt on her.

“Nicole’s been playing us for years. If her mom raised her to be like this, there’s no way she’s really all sweet and harmless like she pretends.”

What happened today completely flipped their view of Nicole as a step-sister.

Plus, now they were starting to wonder if the mother-daughter duo had people in their pocket around them.

The three brothers were seriously creeped out and suspicious of them now in a way they’d never felt before.

Austin agreed, “Yeah, we should definitely look into what happened before, too.”

Kevin said he’d get a private investigator to dig into Mavis’s ex-husband.

Nicolas was still unconscious, so they couldn’t really leave yet. All they could do was just wait it out in the hallway outside his

room.

Getting caught up in this mess thanks to Mavis and Nicole just made them even more pissed at the two of them.
