A brand–new, frosted berry–pink supercar was parked in the driveway. Its unique color was instantly eye–catching, and with its sleek, avant–garde yet refined design, it carried an air of elegant power that made anyone who saw it want to get behind the wheel.
Naomi looked at the car Ethan had brought. It was clearly much more striking than the one he’d given her. A sharp pang of jealousy shot through her.
Even Ethan is spoiling Arabella.
“Ethan, you picked a good one this time,” Frank remarked, approval in his eyes.
“Of course,” Ethan replied confidently.
It wasn’t often Frank complimented his taste–only when it came to pleasing Arabella.
“Ethan, it’s beautiful, but it doesn’t look like your usual style,” Florence observed, studying the vehicle.
“Right. Since it was for Arabella, I had it custom–built just for her. It’s one of a kind–the only one in the world,” Ethan said, gazing at the car with satisfaction.
What he really hoped, though, was that Arabella would like it. He glanced her way. “Well, Arabella? What do you think?”
“I love it. I’ve never seen a color like this,” Arabella admitted, genuinely surprised.
It was a stunning car, unlike any she’d seen before–and it was hers. A genuine sense of happiness warmed her.
Not only would she have her own car now, but it was completely unique. She was thoroughly pleased.
“Ethan, I really love this car too. When are you getting me one?” Ruby walked up to him, her tone pleading.
Ethan gave her a brief look. “This isn’t your kind of car. Don’t even think about it.”
Hearing his flat refusal, Ruby pouted. “So stingy, Ethan. You won’t even get me a car. How cheap!”
“Mom, Dad, we’d better get going,” Arabella said, bidding them goodbye before moving to open
the passenger door.

Noticing this, Ethan spoke up, “Arabella, you drive.”
He then walked around and got into the passenger seat himself.
Arabella didn’t overthink it and took the driver’s seat.

Once inside, she glanced at Ethan. “Ethan, you probably have other things to do. You really don’t have to come–I’ll be fine on my own.”
“I’m free today, that’s why I came back. Don’t worry about it. Besides, you saw how Mom felt about you going alone. Just drive.”
Seeing she couldn’t change his mind, Arabella started the car somewhat reluctantly and pulled away from the estate.
She hoped no one besides Edward would be home at Macdonald Villa.
“You handle the car really smoothly. Have you driven a sports car like this before?” Ethan couldn’t help asking.
Only then did Arabella realize her mistake. “Oh, I saw the start button and figured it was similar to other cars. I guess I got lucky,” she explained, feigning a touch of awkwardness.
She’d been distracted earlier and hadn’t paid enough attention–she’d almost given away that she was accustomed to performance cars.
Fortunately, she’d covered it up. She hoped Ethan wouldn’t dwell on it.
“Ethan, your car is really something. This is my first time driving anything this nice,” Arabella added deliberately, letting her eyes wander around the interior with apparent curiosity.
Ethan’s brow furrowed slightly, then relaxed as he noticed her admiring gaze.
So it was her first time driving something like this. If she hadn’t said so, he really might have thought she was used to it.
“It’s your car now. You don’t have to envy anyone else’s–yours is in a league of its own,” Ethan told her.
“The acceleration is pretty intense too. Go ahead and feel it out,” he suggested, nodding for her to speed up.
“Alright, hold on then,” Arabella said, pressing the accelerator.
The car surged forward like an arrow.

Ethan himself enjoyed driving fast. Seeing Arabella handle the power with such steady control, a look of admiration crossed his face.
“Didn’t expect you to handle a car as well as I do. Not bad,” he praised.
Arabella offered a faint smile and shifted the conversation. “What kind of work do Ethan?”

“Just some investments here and there. Speaking of which, I heard from Mom and Dad that you’re a doctor–and you’re Robert’s attending physician now?” Ethan looked at her, curiosity in his tone.
“Yes.”
“Impressive. Our family could use a good doctor.
“Also, I heard you got Grandpa to quit smoking. Is that true?” Ethan sounded somewhat skeptical.
After all, their grandfather had smoked for decades, and countless people had failed to convince him to stop. It was hard to imagine him obediently listening to Arabella.
Seeing the doubt in his eyes, Arabella said, “It’s true. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Grandpa yourself later.
“Really, it’s because Grandpa loves Grandma. He didn’t want her worrying about his health anymore,” Arabella added, attributing the success to Ryan’s love for Lena.
Ethan knew how deeply his grandfather cared for his grandmother. He nodded slowly. “Put that way, I believe it. Grandpa really does adore Grandma.”
