Rejected by the Crown Prince? I Married His Uncle
Chapter 14 The Clowns Crash the Party

As she spoke, Stella sighed with feigned concern, “I just wonder if the people from the Ducal Palace will be angry. Oh well, as long as it wasn’t Prince Theodore himself, it probably won’t be too serious.”
The more Margaret listened, the more confused she became. Ducal Palace?
Were those two just now from the Ducal Palace?
No wonder they were not only handsome but also so arrogant…
She recalled them mentioning they’d invited her this morning. But these siblings insisted the invitation was for Stella?
Something about a message being relayed incorrectly…
Suddenly, it all clicked!
So that was why no one had informed her about the invitation!
Jasper and Stella had assumed she was too worthless to be the actual guest. So they’d come themselves, expecting to meet important people.
“You two are insane. Actually insane. Maybe get your heads checked? They invited me from the start. We finished our business. They ate, they left. You two? You’re just clowns crashing the party.”
Stella’s face tightened. “Margaret, please. Don’t make excuses. We all know what happened. And it’s fine- Jasper won’t blame you. It’s my fault for having stomach pains this morning. We came late. The guests left. None of this is your fault.”
“Stella!” Jasper’s voice rose with indignation. “You’re too kind. Always defending her. Does she ever respect you? She probably scared those guests away with her behavior. Look at her–fat, stuffing her face, grease running down her chin. Not a shred of dignity.”
“Have you two finished?”
Margaret cut off Jasper’s tirade.
Jasper’s face reddened. “That attitude–after what you’ve done-”
“What exactly have I done?”
Margaret wiped her hands casually with a handkerchief, stood, and fixed Jasper with a direct stare.
“You burst in here uninvited and accuse me of making a scene. They explicitly invited me, and you’re convinced they meant you. It’s hilarious. You’re both absolutely ridiculous.”
“You-”
“Me what? If you’re so sure they came for you, go to the Ducal Palace. Ask them yourselves. Who were they really here to see? If you don’t have the guts for that, shut up. And where’s your proof? You keep saying I scared off ‘important guests. Where are these guests? Hmm?”

Jasper’s chest heaved. “You’re completely out of control. I’m your elder brother–I have every right—”
“Right? You have no right at all! What kind of brother are you? A true brother comforts his sister when she’s troubled–not storms in and berates her like this. Anyone would think I owed you money.”
Margaret deliberately raised her voice, drawing the attention of nearby patrons.
The clientele here was all wealthy or noble. Reluctantly, Jasper suppressed his fury. “Stop disgracing yourself here. Go home immediately.”
“You go home. The only ones disgracing themselves are you.”
Margaret retorted without hesitation, then strode toward the door.
Stella quickly blocked her path. “Margaret, why have you become so crude? He only means well. How can you speak to him like that?”
“None of your business.”

Margaret shot her a look. She raised her hand as if to push Stella aside, but noticing Stella already preparing to fall backward, she withdrew it.
“Move yourself. I’m not touching you. We both know what happens when I do–you hit the ground and start screaming. Done it enough times. Aren’t you bored yet?”
