Rejected by the Crown Prince? I Married His Uncle
Chapter 13 Terms and Conditions.

After a moment’s thought, she finally spoke, “Yes, I can cure this poison. But as I said, it’s extremely complicated and requires countless medicinal ingredients–many of which I don’t even have on hand…”
“Name them.” Cyan’s eyes burned. “Whatever it takes, we’ll get them.”
Margaret stood. “Then here’s the deal. I won’t name a price. You tell me what your life is worth, and pay me that.”
“Your arrogance knows no bounds!” Cyan couldn’t help retorting.
Was this woman genuinely clueless, or just pretending?
Did she have any idea how exalted his master
Yet she spoke such outrageous words…
ds?
Margaret shrugged. “I’m just being honest. This poison’s a nightmare. Most physicians couldn’t touch it. So yeah, my fee’s going to reflect that.
“Plus, this isn’t a one–day fix. My time, my energy–that costs.”
Theodore regarded her skeptically. “Not in a day? How long will it take?”
“Best case, one or two
onths. Worst case, three to five. It depends how deeply the poison has penetrated.
I haven’t even taken your pulse yet–how can I give you an exact timeline?”
“That long?”
Cyan exclaimed before Margaret could finish.
Margaret raised an eyebrow. “What did you expect? If it were easy, you wouldn’t have let it drag on for years, would you?”
She certainly has a sharp tongue.
Theodore, however, remained calm. “As long as it can be cured, the time is worth it.”
He paused, then added, “But if you fail, do you understand the consequences?”
Margaret’s pulse jumped. “I’m trying to help you. Whether I succeed or-”
“Success is the only option. Failure is not permitted.”
His voice was quiet. But the threat underneath was crystal clear: Fail, and you die with me.
Margaret’s lips trembled slightly. This was exactly why she found it troublesome.
People of status were always the hardest to deal with…
“That depends on your unconditional cooperation. Only then can I guarantee success…”

Chapter 13 Terms and Conditions
Margaret muttered under her breath.
Finished
Theodore narrowed his eyes, about to respond, when suddenly noise came from outside the door.
Cyan hurried out, then returned moments later with an urgent expression.
“Master, the treasure map-”
Hearing those words, Theodore immediately rose. “Where?”
Cyan leaned close and whispered. Without hesitation, Theodore strode toward the door.
Startled by their abrupt departure, Margaret called out, “Hey, we haven’t finished negotiating! Where are you going?”
Theodore paused. “I’ll find you again.”
With that, he opened the door and left.
Margaret muttered, “Don’t forget to bring the payment…”
Cyan’s lips twitched. This woman was utterly money–grubbing!
She was the Prime Minister’s legitimate daughter. How desperate for cash could she be?
They didn’t know the half of it.
Margaret had never fought for anything in this house. Every valuable piece of clothing, every piece of jewelry–Stella had found excuses to take them. And whatever monthly allowance Margaret got? Spent on other things.
Like acquiring various medicines for the Crown Prince, which had nearly emptied her coffers. Having transmigrated here, she genuinely had almost no money to her name…
As these thoughts passed through her mind, Margaret sat down and began eating heartily.
She’d been talking the whole time and hadn’t properly filled her stomach. Now that they were gone, she could finally enjoy her meal!
Just as she was eating, the door suddenly burst open, and two familiar figures appeared.
Before Margaret could react, Stella’s voice rang out.
“Margaret, what are you doing here?”
She looked around, her eyes calculating. “You’re here alone?”
Margaret hadn’t even processed the situation when Jasper strode in. “Did you come here behind our backs to meet someone from the Ducal Palace?”
Margaret slowly set down her fork. “What Ducal Palace? I should be asking why you-
