Chapter 151 Recognize You as My Elder Sister
Margaret smiled, “Relax. I won’t waste time quarreling with a child.”
Cyan wiped the sweat from his forehead–only then did he feel relieved.

As Theodore’s personal attendant, he knew perfectly well just how special Margaret was to Theodore.
He was genuinely afraid that Margaret might snap at Noelle.
If that happened, Theodore would end up in an awkward position.
Just as these thoughts crossed his mind, the grand doors of the royal bedchamber suddenly swung open. A chamberlain stepped forward immediately after.
He said respectfully, “Ms. Campbell, King Spencer wishes to speak with you inside.”
Margaret nodded and prepared to follow him. Noelle abruptly stuck out her foot, plainly trying to trip her.
Margaret frowned slightly. She’d wanted to step straight down on Noelle’s foot, yet she reminded herself she was inside the royal palace. She casually sidestepped, then walked toward the bedchamber as if nothing had happened.
Frustrated by her failure to trip Margaret, Noelle felt angry. She hurried after her. “I want to go speak to Father, too.”
She had barely taken a few steps when a sharp needle pricked her leg.
A shrill scream escaped her, and she crashed heavily to the ground. The surrounding palace maids immediately rushed over to help her.
A maid gasped, “Princess Noelle!”
Another exclaimed, “Good heavens, Princess Noelle has fallen!”
The crowd hurried forward to offer help. Noelle suddenly flew into a fit of rage and shrieked, “Who tripped me? Seize them and have them executed!”
Falling down in front of so many people is utterly humiliating.
Cyan had witnessed the whole incident, but he simply turned his head aside and pretended to see nothing.
Margaret, meanwhile, walked into the bedchamber with complete composure.
I have no desire to bicker with a child, yet I have no patience left to indulge such a spoiled, ill–mannered royal child.
The ice needle she’d used was frozen from poisoned water–it melted instantly upon touching blood. It could incapacitate an enemy silently without leaving the slightest trace, so she had no fear of anyone finding out what she had done.
Even if someone found out, she’d only laid a mild poison that left Noelle’s legs numb temporarily. There would be no serious repercussions at all.

Lost in thought, she stepped into the bedchamber.
She bowed respectfully to Spencer, then stood quietly behind Theodore.
Spencer lay weakly propped against the headboard at that moment, while Theodore sat silently beside the bed.
Theodore said in a solemn tone, “Spencer has suffered from chronic head illness for many years. Strangely enough, whenever rain draws near, he endures nonstop throbbing pain. Sometimes it comes in sharp bursts; other times his head feels heavy and foggy. Royal physicians have prescribed countless remedies, and I’ve sought out renowned healers across the realm. All they can do is ease the pain for a short while. There has been no rain lately, yet his headaches still strike without warning. The royal physicians have no cures left to offer, which is why I hope you might try treating him.”
Margaret listened to Theodore’s words and quickly understood the situation. She bowed again with due reverence. “King Spencer, may I take your pulse?”
Spencer lay frail in bed. He only cast a fleeting glance at Margaret, his eyes cold and detached–as if she was not worthy of his attention at all.
It is only to be expected. I am just a young, unknown girl. If the royal physicians could do nothing, why would King Spencer hold any hope for me?
He would not even agree to see me if Theodore had not brought me into the palace.
Still, Margaret would never refuse Theodore’s request. Once Spencer gave his silent approval, Margaret immediately stepped forward to check his pulse.
Just then, Noelle’s voice rang out from behind them once more.
She whimpered as she hobbled into the room, “Uncle Theodore, I just fell down, and it hurts terribly…”
Theodore frowned deeply. He said sternly, “Be quiet.”
Noelle wore a hurt, aggrieved expression but dared not lash out.
It was then she noticed Margaret feeling Spencer’s pulse.
Noelle sneered, “You’re just putting on a fake show. You’ve fooled Uncle Theodore already, and now you’re trying to deceive Father, too. I’ve lived in the royal palace my whole life, and I’ve never heard anyone from the Prime Minister’s Estate know a thing about healing.”
Margaret replied calmly, “You’ve spent your entire life sheltered within the palace. There are countless things you know nothing about.”
The second Margaret finished speaking, Noelle’s eyes widened in shock. “How dare you talk back to me!”
She snapped, “I see now–you think Uncle Theodore is here to protect you, so you act so bold and disrespectful!”
Spencer said sharply, “Mind your manners.”
