Chapter 322 The Crumbling Facade
Theodore stumbled back as if struck.
Cyan was quicker, stepping forward, his voice tight with disbelief. “How can this be? A–An arm?”

The trembling servant, beads of cold sweat on his forehead, stammered, “T–The cliff face is sheer. Someone as slight as Ms. Margaret Campbell… the fall… the rocks are jagged. The force, the height… Finding even this… was a miracle.”
His words faded into a fearful whisper.
The ground seemed to tilt under Cyan’s feet, her knees buckling faintly.
It can’t be. How could this happen in just one day? It’s too absurd–too impossible.
“She won’t die. Last time… she came back unharmed.” The words slipped from her lips, quiet and feverish.
Christopher’s icy voice cut through the stunned silence from his wheelchair. “Last time, there was a blanket of snow covering every sharp edge. Where’s the snow now? Not everyone gets that lucky twice.”
A sudden, violent kick from Theodore sent Christopher and his chair crashing to the ground. “Who gave you permission to follow her?! I warned you to stay away!” Theodore roared, his fury raw.
Scrambling on the dirt, Christopher glared up, his own temper flaring. “My own fiancée was on that cliff! She was the one threatening to jump today! Was I wrong to be concerned? Taking your anger out on me, Uncle, is hardly-”
“Where is Stella?!” Theodore’s question was a low, deadly snarl.
The clearing fell deathly quiet.
Cyan cleared his throat. “Your Highness, reports say she’s been taken back to the Prime Minister’s Estate, In shock, they say. Barely coherent.”
“The one who orchestrated this suicidal spectacle walks away unscathed?” Theodore’s fists clenched, knuckles white. “I want her head delivered to me!”

A moment’s pause, then a darker, more sinister thought emerged. “No. Death is too kind. I want her to suffer.”
He turned on his heel, his command echoing. “Search every inch. Don’t stop until you find her!”
Cyan dropped to one knee. “Yes, Your Highness!”
As Theodore stalked away, Baxter emerged from the crowd and hurried after him. “Your Highness, there was another attempt on Ms. Campbell’s life today. It’s all connected to… that matter.”
Theodore stopped, his gaze chilling. “I’d almost forgotten about you!”
Baxter dropped to his knees instantly. “I accept my failure!”

Chapter 322 The Crumbling Facade
“No body means she isn’t dead. She’s not foolish enough to die for that witch. Find her. Bring her back to me,” Theodore declared.
“Yes, Your Highness!”
The Prime Minister’s Estate found itself under siege moments later, swarmed by Theodore’s guards.
A flustered Timothy rushed out to meet him. “Prince Theodore! A terrible misunderstanding! Please, allow me to explain-”
“Where. Is. Stella.” The words were glacial.
Timothy fell to his knees, pleading, “Your Highness, Margaret’s fall was an accident! Stella may not have been close to her, but Margaret was a good sister! Her spirit would not wish vengeance upon-”
“Get out of my sight!” Theodore’s boot connected with Timothy’s forehead, sending him sprawling.
Scrambling back to his knees, Timothy tried again, but another savage kick silenced him, knocking him
unconscious.
“You breathe only because you fathered her. Otherwise, you wouldn’t dare speak to me!” Theodore spat.
Baxter arrived then, dragging a struggling Stella.
Her once–pristine gown was torn and soiled, her meticulously styled hair–a wig, it was now clear–sat askew, half–fallen.
