Chapter 51 I Need Water
No–she hadn’t gotten it all out.
Her stomach was churning.
It was awful.
The stench hit her nose and swallowed every question Theodore had been about to ask.

While Margaret was still gagging, Theodore stepped out of the tub. He focused his inner energy–and with one sharp burst, pushed every single needle out of his back.
The needles clattered to the floor. Margaret’s head snapped up.
The moment she looked up, the first thing she saw was-

She meant to speak. Instead, she threw up again.

Theodore’s face turned gloomy. “When you’re done vomiting, go clean yourself up.”
Margaret’s face was bright red. Sure, she came from a modern world. She had seen shirtless men before. But seeing… that… it was for the first time.
The atmosphere in the bedchamber grew strange. Theodore turned his back. The tips of his ears were red. “That’s enough for today,” he said. “Go home.”
Margaret looked down, embarrassed, still patting her chest. “The first soak should be three days in a row,” she said. “After that, at least ten times a month. Generally, two or three soaks a week are enough. But every time, you need acupuncture with it. Next time, tell your people not to block me.”
Theodore narrowed his eyes. “Your medicine is strong.”
Since waking up, his body felt full of strength. When he used his inner energy, his chest didn’t ache
anymore.
Margaret coughed, trying to hide her embarrassment. “Of course, it’s strong. Once you start drinking the

Why am I still affected?
Theodore noticed something was wrong. He turned. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Do you have water?” Margaret asked. “Clean, warm water. I need to soak in it.”
Her face was flushed, like she was holding her breath.
Theodore walked to the table and poured her a cup of warm water.
Margaret stared at him. “I meant… bath water.”
She was losing the ability to breathe. “That medicine is poisonous. I swallowed some. I have to soak in warm water, or else—”
Before she could finish. Theodore grabbed her. He lifted her like she weighed nothing.
To her surprise, he slung her over his shoulder.

Margaret asked, “What are you doing? I need water…“.
Theodore walked to the back door of the bedchamber and tossed her.
Margaret’s world spun.
He is throwing me out the door?
But the crash she expected never came. She didn’t hit the ground. Instead, she splashed down into a massive pool.
Countless waves of warm water swallowed her whole. The sudden weightlessness sent her straight to the bottom the second she fell in.
Panic shot through her. She clawed her way up, fighting for the surface, until finally–she broke through. And when she did, she realized with shock that she was in a hot spring.
Right behind Theodore’s bedchamber… there’s a hot spring this huge?
This is insane…
Floating in the warm water, Margaret finally felt some relief.
She gasped for air, her face a mess of embarrassment.
Here I am, trying to cure someone else’s poison–and I almost passed out myself. How humiliating.

Pay my whole nose still reeks.
But at least… I’m alive again.
