Chapter 190
Scarlett’s POV
The vision faded, dissolving around me like mist in the morning sun, and I was thrust back into the present. The world snapped back to life, the sounds of the battle all around me. It was as if no time had passed, as if I’d been given a glimpse of something beyond reality, something fierce and true. My skon tingled with the remnants of the vision, the message clear and powerful.
I glanced at Lucian, Clay, and Maxwell, my heart racing. They were poised to shift, but the vision’s warning lingered in my mind like a lifeline. “Hold off on the shift,” I said urgently, my voice barely controlled. “Trust me on this.”
Lucian’s eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening in that stubborn way I knew all too well. He was the fiercest of them, the most headstrong, and I could see the resistance in his eyes, the fight within him. He didn’t like being held back, especially now, when every instinct urged him forward. But I held his gaze, willing him to listen, to trust me, to believe in the vision I couldn’t explain but knew was real.

And then, the enemies parted like waves drawn back by the tide, and there he was-the same man from my vision, the dark-skinned, handsome stranger with the cruel, mocking smile. His gaze locked onto mine, sharp as a blade, and he grinned, a slow, taunting smile that made my skin crawl. He knew me. Somehow, he knew me.
“You should have stayed with Harold,” the man sneered, his voice filled with mocking contempt. “You were safer there, Vladislav. His laughter echoed, dark and unsettling, each sound digging into me like claws.
He looked me over, his eyes sharp with disdain. “What a tragic way for your bloodline to end. Nikolay was always a thorn in my side, and now to see that all he left behind is a weak, wolfless female? Pathetic.” He laughed again, the sound cold and dismissive. “It seems fate has finally decided your bloodline is useless.*
His gaze slid to my mates, and he smirked, his eyes flicking over their battle-worn appearance, taking pleasure in the state of exhaustion they hid so well. “Fallen on hard times recently, have you?” His tone was biting, designed to wound.
Then he straightened, his face smug with a sick sense of pride.
“Some of the North have come over to my side,” he said, his tone almost casual, as if discussing a minor achievement. “Your alphas-they were more than willing to leave the command of incompetent fools like yourselves. I didn’t even have to fight them.” He chuckled, as if the betrayal amused him, but I felt the rage building in my mates. A quiet, simmering fury radiated from them, tightening the air around us. This wasn’t new, they’d been resisting him fep a
long time. How long had they been fighting this war alone?
The man stepped forward, his face calm, almost bored. “Look, I don’t want to kill you all,” he said, though the glint in his eyes betrayed his enjoyment of
the threat.

“You haven’t exactly wronged me. In fact, my seer advised that as amicable solution would be the wisest path. So,” he continued with a lazy wave of his hand, “I’m giving you three the chance to surrender the North to me, and of course, the South as well. It’s obvious none of you can carry on Nikolay
legacy. Perhaps I might even allow you to keep your titles-as long as you serve under me. What say you?”
The air crackled with tension as Lucian stepped forward, his eyes blazing with defiance. Every muscle in his body was taut with barely contained anger, presence commanding as he faced down our enemy. When he spoke, his voice was deep and powerful, carrying over the field with an authority that rack
even the enemy wolves still, their ears pricking up at his words.
“Your seer must be blind if she thinks an amicable settlement is possible,” he said, his wouve steads and resonant. The consiction on his tone was unshakable, reverberating like thander, reaching every ear, every heart. I could feel the effect of his words on the others, a ripple of strength, courage, wan fiesce loyalty surging through our warriors Even snipe of the enemy wolves faltered, then gazes turning tid him in awe, caught in the pull of his resolve

Chapter 190-
Twatshed him, my heart pounding. In that moment, I saw Lucian’s true strength-his fire, his fierce loyalty, his refusal to bow to anyone who threatened what he loved. He was a softie only when it came to me, I realized. But here, in the face of this arrogant enemy, he was unbreakable, a force of nature that even the most powerful of seers could not sway.
Clay flexed his muscles, a low grow rumbling from his chest as he glared at Garland, his eyes fierce and unyielding. Maxwell, right beside him, mirrored his intensity, taking a fighting stance, every inch of him prepared for a brutal clash. But deep down, dread gnawed at me. This was no ordinary fight. Garland wasn’t here to exchange blows or engage in a fair battle. He had other, darker plans
Garland sneered, his voice dripping with contempt.
“You and what army?” His arrogance was palpable, filling the air like poison, fueling the tension around us.
“Focus,” Midnight’s voice rang clearly in my mind, grounding me in the moment. I could feel the seconds ticking down, every one stretching with a fierce, foreboding energy. I knew it wouldn’t be long before the real threat revealed itself-the guns hidden in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike.
I took a step back, feigning hesitation, almost as if I was falling into the role of a frightened observer. Garland’s mocking laughter rang out, sharp and
cutting.
“Even your Luna is afraid,” he jeered, his tone laced with scorn. To him, it must have been deliciously amusing to see me retreat, to watch me cower.
But he didn’t know what I was doing. He didn’t see the green energy beginning to weave through the air around me, forming tendrils that only I could see. It shimmered, invisible to everyone but me, coiling and twisting like a living thing. This was the power Elsa had told me about, à spirit element, an ethereal force I could control. Midnight and I felt it pulse within us, raw and potent.
With careful precision, I guided the green aura, sending it winding through the enemy camp, threading through their ranks like an unseen serpent. And there they were-the warriors hidden behind the wolves, guns at the ready, each one poised to wreak havoc on our side.
Midnight and I wielded the spirit element together, letting it descend on them. And then, all at once, the quiet afternoon exploded into chaos. A chorus of screams tore through the darkness as the green flames ignited, consuming the enemy warriors and their weapons in an inferno that blazed bright and
unyielding.
