Scarlett
Chapter 191-
Scarlett’s POV
I heard the fierce growls of Tiger, Neo, and Vin echoing through the battlefield, deep and resonant. With a primal roar, Lucian, Clay, and Maxwell shifted into their wolf forms.
Lucian became Tiger, fierce and mighty, Clay melded into Vin, swift and relentless; and Maxwell transformed into Neo, powerful and unyielding. The chan was staggering. Their wolves were far more imposing than their human forms massive creatures with muscles rippling beneath thick coats, eyes blazing with ferocity and purpose just as I had remembered them.
Around us, our warriors and the warriors Keith had sent readied themselves, some clutching weapons, others preparing to shift. I glanced at Garland, and for a fleeting moment, I caught a flash of fear in his eyes. He hadn’t expected this. He had come here certain of his victory, confident in his strength, but now he was facing something he hadn’t prepared for-a united North, brimming with both strength and magic.
The wolves clashed in a storm of fur, teeth, and fury.
Neo, Tiger, and Vin tore into Garland’s forces, their jaws snapping, claws rending through flesh, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Garland’s troops had thought themselves invincible, but they hadn’t anticipated the magic and determination of the North. Victory had seemed inevitable to Garland when he arrived, but now he was watching it slip through his grasp, his sure win crumbling before his eyes.
In the chaos, a wolf lunged at me, its teeth bared, eyes wild. Without hesitation, I summoned claws of my own, slashing through its side in a single, decisive strike. Midnight was restless within me, urging to be unleashed, but I held her back. It wasn’t her time yet. I needed to wait, to watch the battle unfold, to
see when and where she would be needed most.
Around me, our warriors fired at the advancing enemy, taking down wolf after wolf with practiced precision. But Garland’s numbers were overwhelming, and
as our ammunition ran dry, the rest of the warriors shifted, joining the battle with teeth and claws. I knew we hadn’t been fully prepared for this onslaught, but we were holding our own, matching Garland’s ferocity with resilience, fighting with a strength borne of love for our land and our people.
Then I saw him-Garland’s wolf. He was massive, a hulking beast with a dark coat and piercing eyes. He looked so much like my father’s wolf, Knight, it sent a chill down my spine. He fought with brutal efficiency, tearing through our warriors with a viciousness that left no doubt-he was here with a purpose. His movements were calculated, deliberate. He wasn’t fighting aimlessly; he was pushing forward, barreling through our defenses, his warriors strategically blocking Tiger, Vin, and Neo from reaching him. Garland was coming for something-someone.
The realization struck me like a thunderbolt. I barely had time to react before Garland’s wolk broke through the last line of defense, lunging straight for me.. I tried to brace myself, but he was too fast, too powerful. His massive paws wrapped around me, pulling me close and holding me down. Pinning me on the snow covered ground. His grip was iron-strong, his claws digging painfully into my skin. The smug glint in his eyes told me everything he still believed me to be useless, powerless, a wolfless descendant of Nikolay, insignificant a his eyes.
But he had made a grave mistake. My fire roared within me, a fierce, indomitable magic waiting to be unleashed. Garland had no idea what lay hidden beneath my surface, no inkling of the power simmering just out of sight. His arrogance had blinded him to the truth.
And that would be his downfall.
Garland’s grow) cut through the chaus like a blade, bringing the battle to a dead stop. I could feel it the shock, the ripple of tear the ran thaughed. Neo, and Vin as they saw me in Garland’s grasp
The bastard truly believed I was the weak link, the one vulnerability in our defenses. For him to large me directly, he must have had informants in Redkape, feeding him whispers of who I was. But those whispers were outdated. The people here knew what I was capable of, they knew I was for from belpless. Garland hadn’t yet realised that he was the one in real danger

Chapter 191
Ho
gled again, louder, sending his thoughts rippling out in a mind link that wrapped around everyone present. Even those not in his pack felt it. Valkin Alphas had that ability, to intrude into any mind, twist their thoughts, plant seeds of fear and control. His voice slithered through my head, cold and
arrogant.
“Only fools would mate with a wolfless wolf,” he sneered, the contempt in his voice echoing in every mind on the battlefield.
“I have your Luna now, so it’s best you surrender to me, or she’ll be nothing more than a memory.” His voice held a cruel, mocking edge, as if daring them
to defy him.
I looked to where my mates stood, surrounded by Garland’s wolves, their muscles taut with fury, their eyes blazing with helpless rage as our warriors halted,
caught in the tension of his threat.
“Yield the North to me,” he continued, his tone dripping with disdain, “and I might let your worthless mate keep her pathetic life.”
