Lucian’s POV

Two days had passed, and Scarlett was still struggling to regain herself. The revelations about her parents, her destiny, and the looming threat had left her

shaken.

Clay and Maxwell hadn’t returned yet, leaving me to handle things on my own.

We couldn’t even take our planned trip to Bluemount because of her state. I stayed in Redcape with her, watching as she tried-and failed to focus on her training. Het magic was unstable, particularly the wind element, which seemed to mirror the chaos in her heart.

“Alpha, Alpha Harold has sent the prisoner, She’s been placed in a cell,” William, my beta, informed me. His words caught me off guard. Garland had actually kept his promise and sent that treacherous bitch, Stasia, to me.

My blood boiled at the thought of her. Stasia’s betrayal had cut deep, and now that she was here, the prospect of delivering justice filled me with a dark satisfaction. I couldn’t deny the anticipation I felt at taking my pound of flesh. She deserved everything that was coming to her.

I linked Scarlett, briefly letting her know about Stasia’s arrival. I didn’t give details-just enough to let her know there was something to look forward to. Perhaps confronting Stasia would help her channel some of the emotions swirling within her. I made my way to the cells, my pace steady, my mind focused.

As I passed Bianca’s cell, I noted how gaunt she looked. She had lost a significant amount of weight during her imprisonment. The other workers who had played their part in tormenting Scarlett were there too-male and female alike. Maxwell had left his mark on them, and it showed. Their faces bore evidence

of their punishment, their spirits broken.

I doubted I would ever find it in my heart to release them. But Bianca and Stasia were the real culprits, the architects of the betrayal. Justice wouldn’t feel

complete until Stasia had been dealt with.

I arrived at Stasia’s cell and stood outside the bars between us. The moment our eyes met, I saw the shock and fear written all over her face. Good. Let her

feel it.

“Lucian… Lucian, please! I can explain!” she stammered, her voice trembling as tears began to stream down her face.

I smiled coldly, the kind of smile that had no warmth behind it. “I told you,” I said, my voice low and steady, “we are not on a first-name basis, didn’t 1?”

She nodded quickly, her fear evident as she struggled to maintain composure.

“You committed treason against your Luna,” I continued, my tone turning sharper. “Then you ran away and committed treason against your Alphas. Do you know what happens to people who betray their pack?”

Her lip quivered as she shook her head, the tears falling faster now.

I leaned in slightly, my voice a quiet growl. “They pay. Dearly.”

Her whole body trembled as my words sank in. The satisfaction of seeing her fear was undeniable, but I wasn’t done. This wasn’t just about revenge; it was about justice for Scarlett, for the pack, and for the bond she had tried to destroy. Stasia had made her choices, and now she would face the consequences.

“I didn’t do anything. I didn’t,” Stasia sobbed, her tears streaking her cheeks as her voice cracked with desperation. “Whatever you’ve heard, it’s all lies.”

I leaned forward casually, my gaze cold as I watched her crumble. Her pathetic attempts to deflect only fueled my determination. I wasn’t just here to confront her; I was here to dismantle her. Every ounce of pain she had caused Scarlett, every betrayal-she would pay for it all.

was, my rome cutine. Her expression rented into panic, and the shook her head whemently

“he’s line! You know manca’s & vindictive bitch, She’s just trying to save herself Stasia cried, her voice frantic

I smirked, the kind of smile that promised nothing good. Let her squirm. Let her drown in her excused.

“Oh, so Bianca lied about you telling Olsen that if he woke up in bed with Scarlett, he’d be able to take her home with him/ she lied about the pride in the

wine you poured? About the payments to those false witnesses, who, by the way, have already been dealt with for their crimes?” My voice dripped with

venom as I listed her sins, each accusation slicing through her fragile defenses.
