Ned saw himself climb over the wall to play hooky with Angeline. A teacher caught them, but Angeline promised to raise Ned's grades to the top 50 in their year by the next month.

Her promise got them out of the staff room safely.

Ned took Angeline to the racecourse. He had wanted to show off his equestrian skills to her but had ended up falling off a wild-tempered horse.
