Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 281

"Did Yasmine and Xavier complain to you?" Sean laughed. "Don't worry. I know about it. Mr. Lawson Senior did have some instructions, but we're done. I've left the old Lawson residence."

Angeline realized that at some point, Sean had stopped calling Robert his father.

"Oh, alright…" she answered.

Then she said, "Rest earlier tonight. I'm going into the elevator now."

The bodyguard safely delivered Angeline to her front door. Then she said, "I won't go out again. You can go back earlier. Don't stay here."

"Alright. Rest early, Ms. Emmerson."

Angeline had just entered when the doorbell rang. She thought that the bodyguard wanted to ask her something, but when she opened the door, she found Sean standing outside.

Surprised, she asked, "How did you—"

Before she could finish, he stepped in, removed his glasses, and tossed them onto the shoe cabinet. Then he held the back of her head with one hand and kissed her as he kicked the door closed.

The familiar, masculine scent enveloped her. Surprised by the sudden advances, Angelined was forced to take a few steps back. Not knowing what to do, she stumbled backward. Her bag and her unbuttoned shirt slipped off, and Sean tossed them aside in the foyer.

Her heart pounded as he kissed her. Her eyes were shut tight as she rested her hands helplessly on Sean's shoulders. At the same time, he was taking his suit jacket off. Then her legs gave out. If it weren't for the firm arms around her waist that held her close to him, she couldn't even keep her balance. She would probably fall on her back as she moved backward.

His kisses were quick yet intense, and Angeline wasn't prepared at all. Her heart pounded wildly, and she couldn't even breathe properly. She felt like every cell in her body was clamoring with excitement.
