Sherryn watched them leave, then sat down next to Ned. "I don't know how much of your memories you've recovered, but it's impossible for you and Angeline to be together now. Everyone knows that you're engaged to Ingrid, not to mention what you did to Angeline to force her to divorce you."

Ned leaned back against the couch, unmoving and silent.

Sherryn grabbed his hand. "Ned, although I didn't like Ingrid at first, but compared to Angeline, she's at least an international celebrity. She's also the person who saved Mr. Norwalk, and she loves you. If you break up with her now, she might get revenge on you behind your back!"

"Ned! Is this how you speak to your mom?" Sherryn stood up, raging. "Your dad acts like this, and you're acting this way, too… Are you both trying to kill me?"

Ned didn't say a word. He merely loosened his tie and headed upstairs.

Sherryn sat down angrily on the couch, her eyes full of tears.
