Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 287

Perhaps it was because Sean was next to Angeline, Nathaniel didn't speak to her much. Instead, he talked to Sean more.

Zachary couldn't help wondering if the Lawsons were going to collaborate with the Hoopers and needed a marriage alliance. He wondered if that was the reason why Robert had told Sean to bring Angeline.

Later, if Ned and Sherryn saw Angeline when they arrived, problems could arise. Zachary frowned, wondering if he should call Ned and tell them not to come.

Soon, Angeline noticed Zachary, who kept looking at her.

She smiled and said to Sean and Nathaniel, "I spotted a friend. I'll go and say hi, and I'll be back in a while."

Sean had also seen Zachary, so he nodded. "Go ahead!"

As soon as she left, Nathaniel smiled and approached Sean. "I heard that she's a relative of your biological family. My grandfather wasn't pleased about it at first, but since you're the successor of Lawson Global, and she's the founder of Vitality Biotech Group, he agreed."

"Both of you aren't suitable for each other," Sean said.

Nathaniel was very surprised. "Lawson Global is about to collaborate with Hooper Group. I thought that the Lawsons accepted her as an adopted daughter and brought her here for a marriage of convenience. I didn't expect you to be so defensive."

"The Lawsons do want to let Angeline have a marriage of convenience with you, but the condition is that she has to be fond of you! But obviously, she's not interested in you." Sean smiled. "You're not worthy of her anyway."

Sean was very satisfied with how distant Angeline had been with Nathaniel just now.

"Yes!" Zachary smiled and nodded. "It's just that my parents are pretty frustrated. My sister insists on working at the hospital and refuses to take over the family business. I've got my law firm and refuse to go back too. It's hard on my dad, who's getting on in years but still has to worry about Stone Corporation."

"Mr. And Mrs. Stone must be so proud of both of you. Not only are you both doing what you love, but you also have great achievements in your respective fields." Angeline smiled.

Zachary looked at Sean and Nathaniel in the distance, and he leaned closer to Angeline. He said in a low voice, "Be careful, Angeline! The Lawsons have never allowed Sean to interact with you so much, but now they've suddenly told him to bring you to this banquet.

"Then they're introducing Nathaniel, who's been widowed for two years. I think that Hooper Group and Lawson Global will be collaborating soon. They might want you to get into a marriage of convenience."

"I know." Angeline laughed. "Grandpa told me about it, but he doesn't intend on forcing me. He's just worried about my love life. Grandpa purposely invited you this time too. He said that if I'm not satisfied with Nathaniel, I can consider you. We grew up together, after all."
