Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 293

Monica and Angeline went to a lounge, where the Lawsons had prepared for guests who were tipsy from the alcohol. Angeline sat across from Monica, pouring coffee gracefully.

"Ms. Monica, are you here to talk to me as Sean's fiancée or as the daughter of the Scott family?"

After Angeline poured the coffee, she presented a turquoise cup to Monica.

"I'm here to talk to you as Scott Incorporated's Vice President of Operations and as Monica." Monica smiled as she picked up the cup and took a sip. "I know that after Mr. Lawson Senior's birthday party, you'll be entering Lawson Global as the vice president."

Actually, Monica had been watching Angeline closely in the hall. She had hurried to catch up with Angeline when she saw her leaving.

For years, Monica had been competing with her sisters for inheritance rights.

She didn't have support from her uncle's family or the board of directors, nor did she have her mother's favoritism. Over the years, she relied solely on herself to carve out her position at Scott Incorporated.

"As you know, my engagement to Sean was only verbally agreed upon by our elders, and we haven't had an engagement ceremony. Although Sean hasn't denied it publicly, he hasn't acknowledged it either. But this has already provided me with great help in establishing myself at Scott Incorporated."

Smiling, Monica put down her cup. "I believe that once you enter Lawson Global, you may encounter a similar awkward situation."

"So?" Angeline asked with a smile.

Although Monica didn't interact with Angeline much, she knew that the latter wasn't the type to waste time on idle chatter.
