Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 294

"I want to sell land No. 3 to you in hopes that you can help persuade Sean to marry me as soon as possible," Monica added.

Noticing Angeline's silent reaction, Monica smiled and continued, "I know what you're thinking. To outsiders, Sean appears to be your elder, but in reality, you're competitors.

"I believe that Mr. Lawson Senior let you join Lawson Global with the intention of having you and Sean compete to see who would ultimately be his best successor. You're worried that once Sean and I are married, we'll become enemies."

"I don't have that concern," Angeline replied.

Because she knew that Sean didn't actually want Lawson Global.

And for Angeline, if it weren't for Robert, she wouldn't have joined Lawson Global. After all, having Vitality Biotech Group was already enough for her.

However, Monica, who didn't know the truth, thought differently. She was merely speculating about Angeline and Sean's relationship from the perspective of an aristocratic family.

"Yes, you and Sean are relatives, and he has indeed been very good to you. When you were in a vegetative state, your ex-husband's family abandoned you and left you in the hospital, but Sean didn't give up on you.

"He transferred you to a friend's hospital and covered all your medical expenses. He visited you in the hospital every week. For you, calling him a foster parent wouldn't be an exaggeration. I understand your feelings."

Monica had investigated Angeline four years ago and naturally knew these truths, even ones that Angeline didn't know herself.

When Angeline heard Monica say that Sean had transferred her to another hospital and covered all her medical expenses, she restrained her surprise and looked steadily at Monica across from her.

Family blood was nothing compared to interests.

"Thank you for your advice, but I don't need it," Angeline replied calmly. "Vitality Biotech Group will definitely work with Lawson Global. As for whether Lawson Global will join Scott Incorporated's project to build the largest CBD in Krontos, it'll depend on the decisions of the senior management of Lawson Global."

Angeline's reaction was beyond Monica's expectations, yet also within reason.

Monica felt that Angeline hadn't yet experienced the harsh realities of life and still regarded Sean as her lifesaver, which was why she was reluctant to vie for power with him.

In the end, Monica just sighed and didn't try to persuade further. Perhaps only after experiencing it herself would Angeline acknowledge Monica's current perspective.
