Sean walked Angeline to her bedroom. His gaze landed on her lips, and his Adam's apple bobbed. He held himself from kissing her since they were at the old Lawson residence. Instead, he just said, "Get some rest. You'll be plenty busy starting tomorrow."

She nodded. "Okay. Well… goodnight. You get some rest, too."

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Sean placed a hand on the door and took a step into the room. He wrapped his free hand around the back of her head and gave her a searing kiss.

The door was still wide open, and they were at the old Lawson residence. Angeline's eyes widened in shock; she tried to push him away.

The kiss, though passionate, didn't last long. Sean looked down at Angeline, whose ears were bright red. He said in a low voice, "Goodnight."

"There are surveillance cameras around here!" Angeline's heart raced. She was afraid Robert would catch them.

Since getting Jessica back, surveillance cameras had been installed in every corridor in the old Lawson residence. On one hand, Robert was afraid of Jessica going missing again. On the other hand, he also worried something would happen to her, now that she was in such a bad mental state.

"Something went wrong with the surveillance cameras on this floor this afternoon. Someone will only come to look at them tomorrow morning." Sean backed out of the room. "See you tomorrow."

Angeline leaned against the door and nodded. "See you."

She shut the door and turned to look at Xavier and Yasmine, who were sound asleep. She pecked them on their chubby cheeks, then headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Then, she got into bed and fell asleep with her arms around the kids.

The next morning, Angeline changed into a form-fitting, high-collared black dress that reached her knees. She wore a white suit jacket with a black lapel on top of it. She paired the outfit with a simple diamond necklace and a white diamond watch with a leather band.

It gave her an elegant, elite look. She was tall and slender, to begin with, so when she put her heels on, she exuded dominance.

When she and Sean showed up outside Lawson Global's building, the employees started whispering among themselves about them.
