Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 316

Angeline looked at the board member who'd spoken. His name was Mason Denton. She'd seen his profile but hadn't seen him at Robert's birthday celebration.

"Looks like you already have something in mind, Mr. Denton." Someone gave Mason a chance to continue.

"Oh, yes. Now that the environment is getting worse, one's health will become something that people will be willing to spend more money on. In fact, it'll probably be the most important thing to most people!" Mason said.

He glanced at Helen. "And so, I suggest we consolidate the management of the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Then, we have someone from Lawson Global oversee these industries."

"I agree!"

"Me, too!"

Some of the board members agreed with Mason after some consideration. Daniel didn't voice his opinion. Instead, he asked, "Does that mean you already have a candidate in mind, Mr. Denton?"

"Yes, I do." Mason nodded. "I propose Helen Lawson for the job. Setting aside the fact that she holds 10% of the company's shares, she's also Mr. Lawson Senior's niece—a blood-related one. I have high hopes for her."

It was obvious what he was insinuating when he emphasized Helen was related to Robert by blood. After all, Sean and Angeline were only adopted—on the surface, that is.

"I appreciate the nomination." Helen stood up with a smile. "Of course, I'd also like to ask everyone here to believe that Mr. Denton isn't nominating me because of any ulterior motives. I was already involved in the medical industry while abroad.

"I also know the head of Vitality Biotech Group's Lonla division, Mr. Danny Reilly, well. We're already negotiating an exclusive agreement between our companies."

Daniel chuckled and flung his documents onto the table. He picked up his coffee and took a sip without saying anything.

A few other board members who knew something was up followed his example. They put down their documents and drank their coffee.

The other board members discussed the matter. "Does this mean Vitality Biotech Group's patents will exclusively be Lawson Global's to distribute for the next six years?"

A strategic cooperation like this wasn't rare, but Vitality Biotech Group had never signed an exclusive agreement with any company.

If Helen managed to get this six-year contract signed, it was obvious what this would bring for Lawson Global in the medical industry.
