After all, Vitality Biotech Group was the only other company aside from Lawson Global that had made it onto Marvonia's sanctions list. It was also the only company that Marvonian citizens had lobbied for.
Helen placed a hand on the table and tapped her fingers rhythmically. She said, "Before I came here, I heard about Vitality Biotech Group suing Fletcher Corporation, which means they're probably gonna be in deep trouble soon.
"If that does happen, I can talk to Vitality Biotech Group's founder about working with us on the Alzheimer's medication, which they've been working on with Fletcher Corporation."
Lawson Global had been interested in cooperating with Vitality Biotech Group on the Alzheimer's medication. But it hadn't been an exclusive contract, so the company's management had failed to come to an agreement on the cooperation.
Besides, in large corporations, it would take ages for a project to get through unless the higher-ups were the ones who wanted it to get through. Before the proposal got the green light, Vitality Biotech Group had already given Fletcher Corporation exclusive rights to the Alzheimer's medication.
Now, Vitality Biotech Group's Alzheimer's medication was the only one on the market that was effective in treating the condition.
A board member asked, "Are you on good terms with Vitality Biotech Group's founder?"
Smiling, Helen twirled the ends of her hair daintily. "I wouldn't say that."
Her words were enough to show that she knew the founder.
Helen gave her a haughty look. "What? You'd better not tell me that you intend to pass over me and negotiate with Vitality Biotech Group yourself, Ms. Lawson. I've already made the bed, yet you're the one who wants to lay in it. Do you think that's appropriate?"
"Whoever makes the bed is the one who gets to lie in it!" Mason gave Angeline a scornful look. "Even you don't have the right to take this away from Helen, Ms. Lawson. Lawson Global is a prestigious company, and we can't allow a person's short-sightedness to ruin our reputation."
"I'm fine with it." Helen laughed. "I'd be glad to see Vitality Biotech Group work with Lawson Global, but you'll probably have to ask the board members whether they're willing to have someone who takes the credit for someone else's work as the company's vice president."
Mason chimed in, "I know you want to show some results since you've just taken up the role, Ms. Lawson, but you can't take credit for someone else's hard work! Besides, Helen is Mr. Lawson Senior's niece, and they're related by blood. If you think about it, she's considered your elder."
