Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 334

"I invited him in," Angeline interrupted with a comforting smile.

"Lenny, you can go back and rest now."

"Go. There won't be a next time," Sean said.

"Noted!" Lenny replied.

He turned around and flashed a smile at Angeline before leaving.

Sean's phone rang the moment the door closed. Answering the call, he loosened his tie and strode toward the couch.

Angeline was perceptive enough to take his jacket and his watch dangling from his fingertips from him. He grabbed her wrist promptly before she could leave.

Startled, she stared at him, who was still in the middle of a call. Her heart raced as his gaze fixated on her. As he averted his gaze, she returned hers to his hand that was clasped tightly around her wrist. She had a soft spot for his slender fingers. She could barely stop her heart from hammering her chest.

"You can't reduce the budget to expand the R&D center. However, the funding isn't limited, so have Mr. Jenkins handle this independently. That's it."

Angeline's grip on his shirt tightened, and her eyes fluttered open. The intensity of their kiss wasn't dampened at all. He kissed her with more fervor once he locked eyes with her teary gaze. A storm of emotions raged in his eyes as he lost himself in the heat of the moment.

A shiver raced up Angeline's spine. Her breathing was ragged, and she couldn't focus because she was running out of breath. A shade of red tinged the corners of her eyes as she shuddered.

Sean thought he probably went mad. He was drowning in jealousy the moment he saw the image of her sitting with Ned at the café. He was so absorbed in their relationship that the thought of losing her sent him spiraling in terror.

He understood how much Angeline used to care for Ned. She loved him so much that she was willing to sacrifice everything for him.
