Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 340

Angeline knew Gary must've informed Sean about her plan when Taylor called for her. She strode into Sean's office. He gestured primly at her to take a seat, and she nodded in response.

Seated from across him, she noticed that he was wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. His gaze was fixated on the monitor as he flipped through the documents.

"How are you so sure they'll sell you the land? Since the word got out, we've missed the best time to send our proposal. The land's price will surely skyrocket. Judging by the fact that Scott Incorporated is willing to circulate the news, they are confident in securing the deal even though it has yet to be closed."

"Scott Incorporated is in charge of the largest CBD project in Krontos, and Ms. Lara's assistant leaked the news."

Angeline had performed a thorough investigation.

"But you're right. Scott Incorporated and the company that owns the land have begun the purchase deal proceedings. However, the real owner of that company is Ms. Monica."

Sean's gaze drifted away from the screen as he glanced over at her.

"Monica proposed a deal with me at Granddad's birthday banquet," Angeline stated.

"Although I won't cooperate with her, she'll still be willing to sell the land to Lawson Global. She could use this situation to upset her sister, and secondly… I'll offer her something that she can't refuse."

Realization dawned on Sean.

"Are you… planning to buy and use the land as leverage to make Scott Incorporated include Monica in the project team?"

"Exactly. Monica proposed the project first, yet Lara stole her idea. I know how ambitious and confident she is. The last thing she'd want was to give up on the project.

"So… if she sells it to Lawson Global, not only do we get to have our fair share in the project, but she can return to the project team. It's a win-win situation! Why would she refuse?"
