Angeline raised her head and wrapped her arms around Sean's neck to accept his kiss. She could feel that Sean was more gentle and caring this time, as his kiss was slow and tender on her swollen lips, without the crazy possessiveness from the night before.

While kissing, Sean combed Angeline's long, flowing hair with his fingers.

"Xavier and Yasmine sent you a lot of videos last night. I've replied to them for you," Sean said. "Xavier had chosen six home tutors, who are all experienced in their field. He had sent you all their details too.

"Mr. Millstone was going to ask for your opinions, but I've replied on your behalf after going through the details myself. You can recheck them if you're not at the office today."

"Alright, I'll have a look later," Angeline replied as her hand slid from Sean's neck to his strong arm. She looked up at Sean with her eyes, which were red either from lack of sleep or shyness from the kiss earlier. "Can I ask? Who drugged you last night?"

Angeline believed Sean wasn't a careless man. Instead, she knew there was nothing that could escape his eyes.

Sean couldn't be honest and tell Angeline it was Brayden. He gently kissed her and said, "It wasn't a big deal. I just accidentally drank someone else's drink for livening things up."

"Then, if you didn't want to go to the hospital, why didn't you call me?" Angeline asked.

Angeline knew Sean had kept a positive image to the public. If the news of him going to the hospital because he drank a drugged drink went out, it would be bad for the company's image.

Sean could've called her to come home quickly to help him, though. She wondered why he would endure the pain and take a cold shower to calm himself.

Angeline had a similar experience before. She knew that being drugged was agonizing. It felt like getting bitten by thousands of ants.

Angeline didn't know how long Sean had been in the cold shower, but she could remember how cold his body was.

"I was worried that I might harm you because of the drug. But then…" Sean stopped and looked at Angeline with his lips pressed.
