Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5574

"If you like it, I'll make you fresh juice every day."

Chloe gave him a look. "Don't you have work to do? You want to come all the way here every day just to make juice for me? If I want some, I can just ask my secretary to prepare it."

"I'm efficient at work. I can always make a little time for this. It's no trouble at all. Squeezing a glass of juice doesn't take long. How about this? From now on, you don't have to eat breakfast at home. I'll bring breakfast over and make you some fresh juice while I'm at it."

Devon was one of the best cooks among his peers. He had learned to cook because he genuinely enjoyed it. Like Zachary, he had loved cooking since he was little. In addition, he wanted to win Chloe over through her stomach.

Chloe was not a fussy eater like Isabella, who would barely eat unless prepared by the family chef. However, she did have her preferences.

Growing up, Devon would often see his parents and others cook for the people they loved. He believed that preparing a meal for someone special and watching them enjoy food he made with his own hands brought not only a sense of accomplishment, but also happiness.

That was why he had become such a good cook.

Whenever he had free time, he often prepared delicious meals for Chloe and the elders.

Many people envied Chloe and wished to take her place. It was true that Devon was exceptional. He could do just about anything. Compared with him, the men who had their eyes on Chloe were clearly at a disadvantage. Devon could leave them in the dust without even trying.

Exceptional people naturally attracted one another. Devon was outstanding enough to win Chloe's heart. That was how the two childhood playmates became lovers.

"That would mean getting up really early. You'd be getting less sleep."

Chloe looked at him. "If you're tired, I'll feel bad too. I'm not as picky as Aunt Isabella. I'm perfectly happy eating the meals our chef makes at home."

Devon replied, "It's not tiring. I'd be doing something I enjoy. Besides, even if I didn't prepare breakfast myself, I'd still get up at half-past six."

He went running every day, and when it rained, he worked out in the home gym.

"Making breakfast for two won't take long. I'll ask the housekeeper to get the ingredients ahead of time. When I get back from my run, I'll cook, pack everything up, and bring it here. Then, we can have breakfast together."
