Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5575

"Let's live at your place."

All that mattered to Devon was that they could live together as husband and wife instead of going back to separate homes once they were married.

As long as they were living under the same roof, it would be their home. He would put their hearts into making it a happy home.

"Sure. I'll give you a key and get you an access card when the time comes. The security at the complex is very strict."

The apartment complex was one of the most upscale in the city, commonly known by the people as a neighborhood for the rich. Everyone who lived there came from a well-off family. Not a single resident had taken out a mortgage. Every home had been purchased outright.

That was why security was so tight. Whenever Devon visited, Chloe had to come out and receive him.

"When I bought the apartment, I told you to buy one in the same complex, but you were too slow, and it was sold out."

Devon laughed. "I didn't expect everyone else to move so fast. I was only a little late, but there wasn't a single one left. Your brothers also owned units in the same building, so I asked them to sell me one of theirs, but they both refused.

"Laurence was the worst. He bought several units himself."

Chloe laughed. "Maybe he did it on purpose. He didn't want us living just one floor apart. He was probably worried for me."

Chloe and Devon were young and passionate. Laurence was worried they might not be able to resist each other.

In truth, Chloe was disciplined and knew her boundaries. Despite how deeply she and Devon loved each other, they only went as far as hugging and cuddling. Their most intimate moments had been kisses.

Until they registered their marriage and legally became husband and wife, she would not give herself to him. He would not dare to cross that line either.

"He absolutely did it on purpose. They all did. Haven't you noticed? Whenever you buy a place, your neighbors turn out to be your brothers or cousins."
