Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5602

Serenity chimed in, "You can ask me too. Just like Jane, I've spent years handling household accounts.”

As the lady of the house, she had to deal with bookkeeping regularly. After more than two decades of doing that, she was naturally very familiar with accounts.

Noelle nodded in gratitude. She believed that she could handle the task.

Although she appeared to be Laurence's bodyguard, she understood business matters. Whenever Laurence did not need her assistance, she would simply stand by quietly and observe.

As for the household accounts, she had been managing Laurence's for years, so she knew how to read the accounts as well.

Laurence immediately gathered the remaining books and excused himself before catching up to Noelle, saying, "Let's go to my study. It's quieter there."

Noelle did not refuse.

Jane watched the two of them go upstairs side by side and let out a long sigh of relief. "They've finally gotten together. At least my trip with Lilian wasn’t in vain."

Lilian nodded. Then, thinking about how her own son was also getting on in years but was still single, she sighed and said to Jane, "We still have one more bachelor to worry about. Your mission won't be complete until Connor finds a partner too.

"My Ollie is the same too. I watched Lil' Pie grow up since she was little and really thought I could become in-laws with Serenity, but Ollie insists he only sees Lil' Pie as a younger sister. Meanwhile, that brat Xavier keeps such a close eye on her that no one else has a chance.

"Between our two families, there are too many boys and too few girls. Even if we wanted our children to marry each other, there simply aren't enough girls to go around."

Jane said, "I finally felt the load lift from my shoulders, but after listening to you, it feels like I still have plenty of work left to do."

Serenity laughed. "I also agree that our families have too many boys and too few girls. If we had a few more daughters, perhaps some of the children who grew up together might have ended up as couples."
