Susan said, "The butler there is Stuart, right? He's one of Manny's men."

"Yes, he works for Manny. Everyone knows how much Stuart has pocketed over the years. Manny has profited from him too.

"If Noelle finds any problems while reviewing the accounts, Manny will get an earful. He'll also have to return whatever benefits he had received, and Stuart won't be able to keep his position as butler. Once Laurence moves in, he'll replace everyone at the secondary residence.

"Of course I won't interfere. He's the head now, so he gets the final say. He can do whatever he wants. I won't get involved.

"We can't stop him from marrying Noelle either, but she's an orphan. Does she really think she can handle the duties of becoming the matriarch? That position comes with countless responsibilities. Even if she can handle them, she won't be able to stay by Laurence's side all the time anymore."
