Eliza didn’t mind at all. She snatched the report from Gideon’s hands and headed straight for the HR department.

“Is this a joke?” Gideon still thought Eliza was pretending.

Medea followed Calvin into his office. “Calv, are you really willing to let Secretary Grant go?”

“What’s there to regret? She’s just a secretary,” Calvin replied coldly.

Medea stared at him for a few more seconds, as though trying to read something on his face.

A couple of days ago, when Calvin picked up her mother from the hospital, Medea noticed the ambiguous mark on his neck.

This discovery made her uneasy.

But she knew that confronting him now would only push him further away, so she decided to pretend as if she didn’t notice anything.

However, the sense of crisis in her heart was still strong.

She wondered who the woman was that had left that mark on Calvin’s neck. Could it be Eliza?

If it was, why would Calvin so easily let Eliza leave?

As Gideon chattered on, the HR department head called Calvin. Naturally, they were calling about Eliza’s resignation!

Secretary Grant was a veteran at Everest. Despite holding the position of secretary, her status and influence far exceeded that of any ordinary secretary.

The HR head didn’t dare make a decision without consulting Calvin, so they called him for his opinion.

Calvin’s response was unexpected.

“Just handle it according to the company’s regulations,” he said.

The HR head assumed he didn’t know who was resigning and emphasized, “President Young, it’s Secretary Eliza who’s resigning.”

Calvin’s tone grew colder. “Didn’t understand? I said, whatever it is, handle it according to the company’s regulations. No need to report to me!”

And with that, he hung up.

The HR head on the other end looked rather uncomfortable.

Eliza probably guessed what was happening and calmly told the IIR head, “Just process my resignation according to the company regulations.”

“…Alright,” the HR head reluctantly agreed.

After the resignation procedures were completed, the IIR head emailed Calvin,the confirmation. He immediately approved it.

Gideon and Medea were standing next to him and saw that Calvin didn’t even blink, confirming that Eliza had truly resigned from Everest.

But Gideon was still skeptical.

He felt that even if Eliza left, it was just temporary. She would regret it in a few days and would somehow find a way to return to Everest, to be by Calvin’s side again.

Sure enough, she would come back!

He’d wait and see.

Most people who had been working so hard for seven years would immediately take a break, or give themselves an extended vacation after they finally let go of their heavy responsibilities.

But Eliza didn’t.

On the day of her resignation, she went to discuss a project.

It was the same AI project she had mentioned to Camille.

When Eliza arrived, she found that Camille had chosen to meet at the White Horse Club.

This place was famous for having the best male escorts in the entire city.

Sure enough, typical of Camille’s style.

When Eliza entered the private room, Camille was sitting with two male escorts, one on each side.

From their looks, they were probably the top ones at the club.

Eliza didn’t know how to respond, so she covered up her discomfort by taking a sip of water.

Camille laughed for a while before sending the two male escorts out.

Once they were alone, Eliza brought up the project.

“Now that you’ve resigned, are you planning to go solo, or find another company?” Camille was particularly interested in this.

“I think I’ll find another company,” Eliza replied.

At the moment, she didn’t have the ability to start her own business, and her resources were limited.

Even if Calvin didn’t purposely make things difficult for her, the risks were still high.

The atmosphere in the room was so tense that even Gideon forgot to continue mocking Eliza.

But Eliza spoke first, her voice steady and emotionless.

She turned to the male model who vaguely resembled Calvin and asked, “How much does it cost to spend the night?”

Eliza smiled, subtly pulling her arm away from his. “Too expensive. You just look like Mr. Young, not the real deal.”
