Medea left, full of joy, walking alongside Calvin and playfully speaking, “Calvin, you’re spoiling me again. For a family meal, we could’ve kept it simple. There was no need for such a fancy restaurant.”

She was thoughtful, well–mannered, and perceptive.

Calvin seemed satisfied with her grace. His voice was much softer than when he had been talking about Eliza, “It’s nothing.”

Eliza remained silent for a long time.

Enzo, after a moment of hesitation, finally asked, “Eliza, are you okay?”

“Do I look like I’m not?” Eliza asked.

Enzo, being an honest person, replied, “A little.”

“It’s fine, it won’t kill me.” Eliza drank a large glass of ice water.

-She was upset, but not because of Calvin.

She was mourning for the past version of herself who had thrown everything into love.

In this relationship, the only person she owed an apology to was herself.

The dinner had ended because of Medea ‘s presence, and Eliza’s mood was off, so Enzo lost his appetite as well.

He stood up to pay, but Eliza stopped him.

“I’ll pay.”

“How can I let a lady pay?” Enzo refused.

“Just because you called me ‘President Eliza‘, this meal should be on me! Don’t be polite. We’ll have many opportunities to eat together, and next time you can pay.”

Under Eliza’s persuasion, Enzo relented, “Alright then, but next time, I’ll pay.”

At the cashier, as Eliza was paying, a well–dressed middle–aged man approached the counter.

He asked the staff, “Has the bill been settled? If not, I’ll pay.”

The staff checked and said, “Mr. Young has already settled it.”

The man nodded and, as he turned to leave, his gaze swept over Eliza.

His step faltered as he took another glance at her.

Eliza, focused on the cashier, didn’t notice.

After signing the bill and leaving, the middle aged man hesitated before standing still.

His gaze lingered on the bill on the counter.

“Grant?”

Enzo, after watching Eliza leave, took out his phone and made a call.

As soon as it was answered, he eagerly told the person, “Thea, Eliza has broken up.”

He paused, realizing his slip of the tongue and quickly corrected himself, “Eliza has broken up!”

Thea Klein, Enzo’s younger sister, had always been around when Eliza worked on the project with her brother.

Back then, Thea was in the middle of her high school exams and was feeling demotivated, struggling with her studies.

She had a lot of psychological pressure and was often down.

Enzo, being a standard tech guy, couldn’t understand the emotional burden his younger sister was going through.

He thought it was just typical rebellious adolescence and forced her to study more.

Thea, overwhelmed, had a big argument with her brother and, while he was away at a meeting, found a prescription for sleeping pills in his office.

That was when Eliza came to visit and discovered Thea’s suicide attempt.

She immediately called for help and started emergency first aid.

Since Thea had just taken the pills, Eliza forced her to vomit.

By the time Enzo rushed back, Thea was vomiting violently.

Eliza didn’t flinch at the mess and tenderly helped her.

That moment, Enzo was deeply moved.

During her hospitalization, Eliza stayed by her side and helped with emotional support.

It was then that Enzo realized his approach had been wrong.

Later, Eliza took Thea to see a psychologist and helped her with her studies.

Thea grew fond of Eliza, seeing her as a caring big sister, and naturally, she knew about Eliza’s relationship.

She also understood Enzo’s feelings and often lamented that he had missed his chance, that he wasn’t destined to be with Eliza.
